The Two were on a boat, looking at the shore. "How's the view?" Jax asked. "No sign yet of the mystical barrier you mentioned." "Oh, you'll know it when it comes." "How you feeling?" Jacqui asked Her father. "For the first time in a while, in control." "I got tossed into the deep end of this world of gods and monsters. But now, knowing my future, I feel like I've finally come up for air." Jax said.

"Those bad things that happened to me... I mean, will happen to me? Like Raiden said, it's gonna be different." "Isn't this good news?" "The things that happened to my Dad. That trauma he suffered. It's why my parents met. They fell in love while he was in recovery." "If they don't happen, you and Mom may not meet. I may never been born." "Jacqui, I can't pretend I get all this cosmic time stuff, but I do know you are here for a reason. You're not just some random accident." "I hope so."

And before they knew it, they were at Shang Tsung's Island Ruins. The two were there, talking about the Island that used to belong to Shang Tsung himself. They walked in the entrance and they noticed corpses there, and they were disgusted. "When I was here for the tournament, there were people everywhere. These guys looked a lot younger. Seems like only yesterday..."

"Guess after Shang Tsung died, this place did, too." Jacqui said. "Nobody's home. So much for needing stealth. Should be brought the who squad." "Kinda hoping Raiden's wrong about the Well of Souls. I don't wanna be here longer than we--" Jax stopped, and Jacqui noticed that something or someone was here. "How many?" "Two! But ones of 'em's circling us real fast!" Sooner or later, Jax punched Kabal and he stopped, Jade came in as well. "Kronika knew Raiden would send someone here."

"Give me ten seconds with this guy." "Jax Briggs. We were partners under Quan Chi's Command. You'll join me again." "Got the wrong Jax. I haven't been a Revenant. And I never will."
--------------
"Times are changing, Kabal." Jax said to Kabal, Jacqui was still fighting Revenant Jade and when she punched her, Jacqui was in the arms of her Father. "I'll take the speed freak." Jacqui said. "We buried you in the Netherrealm. You glutton for punishment?" "It's only you and me, this time. There's no castle to bury me under." "Think that hurt? You have no idea."
-------------
"I'm guessing that hurt worse." Jacqui said, leaving him on the floor, and the same thing that happened to Jacqui, happened to Jax. She helped up her Father and Jade made a spell to make the dead corpses come alive and attack. Jax and Jacqui made a pose getting ready to attack. "You'll not disturb Kronika's work." "Disturbing? Try ending." Jacqui said. "You're done messing with the Wells of Souls."

"You're not as strong as you think, Jax. As I recall, Sindel made quick work of you." Jade said. "I'll take the lady in green." While he was doing that, Jacqui was busy defeating the others. "Was a time when you knew who to fight for. But between Quan Chi and Kronika, your mind ain't right."

"I joined Raiden against Shao Kahn. He lead me to my doom. Now Raiden leads you there, too." Jade said.
-----------
"I'll take my chances with Raiden." Jax said. "Enough dancing with the dead. Raiden said the Well of Souls would be underground." "This way." They walked in and Jax pulled a cigar and pit fire on it. "This is Goro's Lair?" "Thankfully minus Goro. Shang Tsung kept me locked up here, back at my first tournament. Never thought I'd be back..." "Remember where a Well of Souls might be?" Jacqui asked.

"Couldn't tell you. I was pretty beat up. It's all a bit hazy." And before they knew it, they were in the Well of Souls, the place that Raiden was talking about. "That crown. Five bucks says it's Kronika's." "It's drawing souls from the Well." "There's no way that thing's unguarded. Let's grab-and-go before whoever's on duty gets back." Jax suggested. "I never left." The other Jax said while walking out. "Mind blown."

"Dad? How'd you get here?" Jacqui asked. "I give you one guess. Dad, your-- your arms! Those look like Kronika's design. What are you doing?" "Giving you the live you deserve." "By destroying the universe?" "Restarting it, nit destroying it. Being a Revenant. The years I lost, the things I did. Your Ma held me together. But, I was never the father you needed." "You're talking nonsense, man. You raised a fine daughter. She's one helluva soldier." "She shouldn't have been a soldier! I never wanted you out there, taking those risks. If I haven't fallen apart, you wouldn't have left the need to enlist." The other Jax said.

"That's not why I do this, Dad!" "PLEASE. Give that crown to me. I don't want to hurt anybody." "This is seriously messed up..." Jacqui said. "Hang back, kid. I know I wouldn't want to fight my Dad. How 'bout we keep this between me, myself, and I?" "Never thought I'd stoop so low." "You don't know how bad it gets. Losing your arms was just the beginning."

"I know you suffered. You still do. But you don't betray your unit, and you sure as hell don't betray your family!" Young Jax yelled.
--------------
"There's gotta be a way to make this right." Jacqui went to check up on her father, just to see if he was okay. "He's out, but he'll recover. How're you?" Asked Jacqui. "Trippin'. You?" "Ditto." "We can't leave him. Let's get him and the crown out of here." She suggested.
---------
"If I never come back, It'll be too soon." Jax said. "I heard that." Jacqui said. A transportation came in, which happened to be Cetrion. "Mortals!" Cetrion said. "Surrender Kronika's crown and the elder Jackson Briggs. No harm will come to you." Cetrion said as Y/N jumped down with her Katana in her hand. "Y/N?" Jax questioned, seeing her past self. "No deal. We know you betrayed the Elder Gods, Cetrion." "Kronika must restore the balance that Raiden destroyed. Can you not see, he is the devil in these matters?" "At least he's the Devil we know." "Can we take an Elder God?" Said Jacqui. "Cassie beat Shinnok." "Only because the Cages are born with crazy magic powers." "Maybe we have magic, too. Almost like Y/N's family." "Stand down, please. Resistance only ensures your suffering." Cetrion said. "I can't let you do--." "I'm not discussing it." Jacqui said. "You're mind is to frail to wield Kronika's weapon. For your own safety, remove it!" "It's not time for safety!" Jacqui said while Jax went back.

"It's time for action!" She said.
---------
"Eat your heart out, Cassie Cage." Jacqui then removed Kronika's weapon off her head with Jax's help. "You were warned. Mere mortals cannot control the Crown." Cetrion said. "I did not wish to harm you. But now you forced my hand..." She put her hand on the ground to attack Jacqui, who fell through the cracked place. "The hell are you doing?" Jax yelled to the Future Jax as Past Y/N looked at Future Jax. "Give me the crown and I will spare her." "Don't! Don't give it to her! GO!!" "Her life is in your hands." "Nobody here wants to hurt anyone. Now, please. Don't let this happen to our girl." He thought of it for a moment while looking at the crown in his hand and Jacqui. "Damn it!" "Now bring Jacqui back." "Dad? How could you do this to me?!" Jacqui yelled. "I'm not doing this to you, Jacqui. I'm doing it for you. I love you." He said. "Kronika awaits our return." Cetrion said, while Jax & Past Y/N was behind her, who just disappeared.

"C'mon. This fight isn't over yet." Past Jax said to Jacqui.

(The reason why I made a Past Y/N, is because in Mortal Kombat 10 story, I added a part in Chapter Nine based on Y/N being possessed by Quan Chi at the age of 9 so I decided to add it in here. Check it out after reading this chapter.)
