Izuku Jr. POV-

I never thought I'd be searching the entire country for her. I never thought I'd see the day where my parents allowed me to go out to do something so dangerous, especially with my lack of experience. But here I stand, ready to embark on what is probably the most important journey of my life.

"I'm ready."

"Alright." Father said. "Be careful out there. Don't make me regret sending you out on your own. You remember what to do when you get into a battle you can't win, right?"

"Try to run and call one of you. I know. I won't let you down."

"Son, you could never let me down. My only concern right now is your safety."

"Oh... well, I'll try to come back alive then! I can't promise I won't be injured at all."

"Good. Now off you go, Izuku. I believe in you."

I gave him a small nod before running out of our mansion. The feeling still surprises me. Running free without restriction, it is both scary and refreshing. There's so much I could go out an explore... but I have to stay focused. I don't even know where to start. There's no clues, she just up and left. Uncle Katsuki said she didn't come home last night. I stopped running and stood there. I have to guess at her location somehow. She's probably not staying in this prefecture, so that option's out. She's also surprisingly skilled in stealing vehicles, so she's probably made it to one nearby if not driving further. Okay, so generally speaking, I know where she might not be. That still doesn't tell me where she is. Maybe she took her- nevermind. She's the one who said to blow up our phones when we went to find Eri. She probably didn't bring it with her or she destroyed it at some point. Maybe there's some sort of tool I can use. I took out my phone and searched for tracking devices. I scrolled down a bit and found this one that works similarly to a dogs nose. It searches for people with similar scents and shows their location. If only I knew how to make that. Fuck... I guess I'll have to buy one. But I can't get it online of course. I sit down and do a little more research about this item. I found that someone was selling the one they owned. They live about a 3 hour walk from here, but I can take a Rïde and get there faster. First, I need something of Katsumi's. Suddenly, I remembered something from my childhood.

"Here, take this."

"Huh? You want me to have your favorite scarf?"

"You're cold, idiot. I don't want you to get sick."

"If you say so."

The scarf is still in my room. I guess I'll have to go back now. It would save me a lot of time. It's either that or going to Katsumi's house and breaking in. I got up and ran back towards my home, knocking on the door as soon as I arrived.

"Izuku, what are you doing back so quickly?"

"I just need that scarf Katsumi gave me."

"Why?"

I explained my plan to my mother. "So yeah, do you mind grabbing it for me?"

"Honey, that scarf probably smells more like you than her now. You were like- 8 when she gave you that."

"Oh."

"Don't worry though. I was going through the laundry and found something of hers."

"Was it washed already?"

"No." She went back into the house, coming back a few moments later with a sweater. "Here you go, I hope her smell didn't get masked by the other clothes."

"Thanks, and don't worry, I have a back up plan if it doesn't work."

"Good. You should probably head out again, she's probably getting further away by the moment."
