Wonder Woman: (defends herself with the bracelets) I'll catch up in a minute. Wait for me.
(Superman walks as a soldier tries to throw a grenade on him, but the man of steel doesn't even get a scratch, Wonder Woman notices that and tries to reason with him)
Wonder Woman: Superman.Can youhear me?Wait!
Superman: We waited too long as it is!
(Meanwhile in the President Room, we see Lex Luthor complaining about the papers he received)

President Luthor: They couldn't see the beauty... No imagination... They rather fight...
(Superman blows up the door and comes in as Lex Luthor simply ignores him)
Superman: Even this wasn't enough, was it? We're about to enter in a nuclear war which can destroy the planet!
President Luthor: Everything would've been perfect... A paradise...
Superman: And I let it all come down to this because of the law and the freewill...
President Luthor: Freewill? Ha! It's all a human being's fault, and he's gonna burn for this. Burn!
Superman: You're crazy, Luthor. This is what you are!
President Luthor: Oh... a threat? Watch it, this one bites!
(Lex Luthor opens a secret button and gets his finger close to it)
Superman: There are at least six different ways I can stop you right now.
President Luthor: But they all involve deadly force, don’t they? And you don’t do that. No, you need me. You wouldn’t be much of a hero without a villain, and you do love being a hero, don’t you? The cheering children, the swooning women, you love it so much, it’s made you my most reliable accomplice.
Superman: Accomplice? What are you…?
President Luthor: You could’ve crushed me any time you wanted and it wasn’t the law or the will of the people that stopped you. It was your ego. Being a hero was too important to you. You’re as much responsible as I am. So go ahead, fix it somehow, put me on trial, lock me up, but I’ll beat it and then we’ll start the whole thing all over again.
Superman: I did love being a hero, but if this is where it leads, I’m done with it.
(Batman is seen keeping fighting the soldiers, barely sweeping them, as he is down, Wonder Woman helps him to get up)
Batman: Thanks. (smells something) Do you smell something?
(Wonder Woman feels the smell and her eyes widen in shock. Then they go to the president room and find out what happened as Superman is simply standing aside, showing no remorse for killing Lex Luthor)

Batman: It had to be done!
Wonder Woman: (comes closer to Superman) Are you ok?
Superman: (looks at Wonder Woman with a smirk) I feel great.
(They see the passage as the white house zooms out. For some people, it's only the beginning. Luthor is gone, so is what the Justice League used to be)
