The Little of the Alien Commander

Part 13

I couldn't help but look around in awe, I wasn't sure what I expected but this was so much better! It was like being in a zoo but there were no habitats and all the animals understood English! I sat up leaning as far forward as the stroller would allow me as I heard a chuckle.

"Someone's excited."

"What if I am there's nothing wrong with that you would be to if you were in my shoes." I said crossing my arms.

"No need to be defensive kiddo you just look cute when your excited that's all.

"Oh" I said beginning to blush. It was kind of weird for her to call me cute, but then again this whole thing was weird, ad it wasn't like it bothered me or anything, just something that I wouldn't expect.

"They have bunnys in space!"

"What are you talking about kiddo oh- your talking about one of the animals on your planet right, there not what you think they are those are called brinkos they may look cute with the white fluff and floppy ears but underneath there are-"

"Let me guess spikes." I said rolling my eyes.

"Yup, a good thing to keep in mind nothing is as it seems you have to forget about your planet just because it looks like something from your planet doesn't mean it is."

"Right got it" I said frowning. I had been so excited to see things from other planets but being remind of Earth just left me feeling sad. She pushed me around for what felt like forever before I felt the stroller come to the stop and she went in front bending down to look me in the eye."

"Are you alright kiddo you were excited to come here a little while ago." I stayed quiet shifting my position a little bit not making eye contact."

"Not even a witty remark, you must really be feeling homesick huh?" WHen she said that I couldn't help but cry. Of course I was homesick! Why am I crying so much still though Dr. Bellum took the bracelet off yet I was still crying like a baby. My silent tears turned to sobs and at this point I really didn't care who heard. I let her pick me up and rub my back and while it felt nice it wasn't what I needed. I needed to go home.

"It's alright sweetheart I know your homesick but I bet once you get to explore around some places here you'll never want to leave, you'll be begging for five more minutes and instead of crying about wanting to go home you'll be crying because you want to try more food but are to full." She said gently bouncing me.

I couldn't  help but smile as she said that, it was crazy how I could go from sobbing to happy in seconds, I was a complete mess but she didn't seem to care. All she did was hug me and tell me it would be okay, and that meant a lot to me.

"Thank you" I mumbled as I laid my head on her shoulder and let out a yawn. How could I possibly be tired now! While I was now frustrated with my inability to control my emotions she just laughed.

"Is it somebody's naptime?"

"What no I want to look around!" I said jolting my head up off of her shoulder."

"Alright kiddo we can do that if you want to stop just let me know." She said putting me down in the stroller again and then kissing me on the forehead. I couldn't help blush again but quickly forgot about it as she began to push the stroller again and then I saw it.

"Wait stop I want to go in there, can we go in there please!"

"Why am I not surprised the first shop that catches your eye is a toy store." She said with a chuckle.  As she pushed me I starred at the thing that had caught my eye to begin with. I wasn't exactly sure what it was but it looked so soft and huggable. I figured it was a stuffed animal, I just wasn't sure what of though.

I tried to reach out and grab it but the stroller prevented me from doing so. I know it was silly but I wanted it so badly. I wiggled out of the stroller running over towards it when I feel myself being picked up.

"What did I say about running of kiddo"

"Im but, because," I stumbled trying to find the words but ending up just pointing at the stuffed animal.

"Is that what your so fixated on?" She said chuckling  handing one to me." I Imediantlty grabbed it from her bringing it close to me and hugged it. It was so soft and was the perfect size that I could lay down and hug it while using it as a pillow! Not to mention how soft it was!

"I'm glad you like it but I told ya you weren't allowed to go running off remember?" My lip lowered quivering.

"So I can't have it? I'm sorry I didn't mean to it won't happen again I-"

"Hey I didn't say that what kind of person would I be if I didn't let you have something that makes you as happy as that. But that doesn't mean your off the hook." She said placing me back in the stroller and then bent down grabbing something out of the storage area of the stroller. It kind of looked like one of those things a parent uses to hold a baby. What was it called like a baby harness, like the kind of thing that looks like a backpack but goes in the front and you put a baby in it. Wait-

"No please-"

"You had your chance kiddo I gotta make sure you don't go running of and since your obviously to excited to remember to stay put I'm gonna have to make sure you do." She said as she picked me back up out of the stroller and then placed me in the harness. I frowned holding onto the toy, it was one thing as to how embarrassing it was but it also pushed the diaper right up against my butt. As much as I hated it though I didn't want to take the chance of getting her mad and then not being able to get the toy.

"Alright sweetheart let's keep going do you see anything else you like?"
