"Paige!" I hear Julia scream at the other side of the hallway.

"Hi?" I frown as she approaches me.

"Wait," she says holding a finger at me, catching her breath.

"Okay," she sighs.

"I have to apologise about yesterday, I've just gotten used to Clare and Lucas together and I couldn't picture anyone else with him," she says.

"Okay," I say slowly, not completely understanding her point.

"I talked to Clare about him and she said she doesn't care who dates him, she has a new person in her life now," she grins.

Told you she'd tell Clare

"Okay thanks, I just didn't really need anyone's permission to date who I want," I say.

"Oh," she sounds surprised.

I mentally roll my eyes as she has an amused emotion displaying on her features.

"Anyway, thanks for telling me, I'm going to go to biology now," I say with a quick fake smile and walk away.

I take my usual seat next to Amanda and to say she looks happy, is an understatement.

"Why so happy?" I ask with a chuckle.

"Because Dom asked me out and I said yes," she grins.

"That's amazing," I hug her.

"I didn't even see it coming, but I guess I'm no longer single," she grins.

She looks like a kid on Christmas

"Open your textbook on page two hundred and thirteen," the teacher announces as she walks into the room.

"I'm dead," I hear Amanda groan as she lays next to me.

I just laugh along with Michelle.

"Why hasn't Julia been at practice for the past two weeks?" I ask.

"She's quiting," Amanda says.

"How so?" I frown.

"She's tired of seeing me and Dom together, she's basically mad at me," she shrugs.

Julia has been crushing on Dom for a year now.

"Well you didn't do anything wrong," Michelle says to Amanda.

"She keeps glaring at me like I stole her favorite new toy," Amanda says.

We all laugh and then wait for Jessica to tell us what to do next.

"I never knew cheer would be this hard," I hear Amanda whine again.

"Get used to it," I laugh.

When we're done with practicing our tumbles, we're on to our pyramid.

"Nancy, Mandy and May, you guys are at the bottom, Amanda and Michelle second layer, I'm at the top." Jessica says.

Amanda and I share worried looks.

"How am I supposed to pick her fat ass up?" Amanda sighs in disbelief.

I gasp at how staight foward she is. Jessica isn't overweight, but Amanda just really doesn't like her.

"I'm not liking this," Michelle says worried.

The rest of the girls including me, just sit and watch to see how this is going to play off.

When it's time to do the pyramid, Jessica couldn't even reach the top, before the pyramid collapsed.

"You're not a tumbler or a flyer, you can't be at top," Nancy tells Jessica and soon gasps and snickers were heard.

"Fine, which one of you would like to do better," Jessica snaps.

"I'll give it a go," I volunteer, since no one wanted to.

When the pyramid forms again, I reach the top, but my balance is almost lost due to Mandy not being able to hold the pyramid.

When my feet safely reach the floor I turn to Jessica.

"You and Mandy can swap places," I suggest.

"Whatever," she rolls her eyes.

"Practice is over!" She shouts and soon we all go to the locker room.

When I've got all my bags I go to the football field and meet up with Lucas.

"You're later than usual," he states.

Lucas and I had made up last night and now we're back to being friends.

"Yeah, Jessica wanted to try the pyramid," I laugh.

"Interesting ," he chuckles.

"You could say that ," I shrug.

I know he's still hurting, but he told me he needs to keep busy and to not focus on his mother too much.

It's only making him feel depressed.

I get out of the bathroom in my new Adidas crop top and shorts, after taking a quick shower.

"So we're not doing anything today," Lucas states.

"Then what am I here for if I'm not tutoring?" I frown.

"You going to leave like you did this weekend?" He asks.

"I said, I'm sorry," I shift my gaze to the ground.

"I'm just kidding, I forgave you for that," he pats my arm.

Still feeling guilty I take a seat on his bed.

"Is this chair just going to be empty?" He chuckles, pointing to the empty chair next to him by the desk.

"Your bed is more comfy," I grin.

"Yes and clean, I don't let random girls in my bed room, especially on my bed," he claims.

"How many girls have you let in your room," I raise my eyebrow.

"In total, including you, I'd say about four," he admits.

"The other three are?" I ask with curiosity in my voice.

"My sister, mother and my cousin."

"What about Clare?" I frown.

"Nope," he chuckles.

"Wow, I feel special," I grin.

"Of course you do," he laughs.
