"Don't you dare throw your vodka on the wood for the bonfire!" I hear Jessica shout at some random senior she brought along.
"Chill, babe!" He chuckles.
I just laugh, not knowing what's going on, since I just arrived with Amanda.
"You made it!" Dominic shouts, mainly at Amanda.
They share a peck kiss and I fake a gag.
"I'm here too you know," I roll my eyes.
"Hi," Dom chuckles.
"I'm going to go look for Michelle," I say and walk towards the beach.
"Michelle!" I shout as I near her, but soon realising she's not alone.
"Oh, hi Xander," I wave at him.
"I'll catch up later," he tells Michelle and walks towards Dominic that's now alone after Amanda left to say hello to the others.
"Sorry about him, we were just talking about some stuff," she shrugs.
"Let's go say hi to them," she says and points towards Julia with the Badboys.
"Did you see how Jessica screamed at that poor guy," I hear Kyle say between laughs.
"Yeah, she went all historical," Leo adds with a laugh.
Soon they all were laughing.
Seth then downs his beer as Leo and Kyle greets us along with Julia and Lucas.
But Hunter stays quiet.
"Hey," Lucas tells Michelle and then turns to me.
Enveloping me in a hug, picking me up while he does this.
I feel the butterflies come alive in my stomach, but soon he lets go and my feet are back on the ground as he takes his seat back on one of the logs.
Luckily no one noticed the hug, because their attention was on Jessica shouting at that senior again.
I stand beside the log where Lucas is sitting on.
I only feel uneasy when Julia takes the seat next to him and Leo next to her.
"Did you get a drink?" Lucas asks.
"Not yet," I say.
"I'll be right back," he says and walks towards the tables.
Because there is only a few people here, the music hasn't began.
But when Lucas returns with two drinks the music began and I hear random people scream of joy.
The bonfire has yet to begin and a few people that have been here since this morning, is already tipsy.
It's currently half past five pm and the bonfire will be made at six pm.
"Kyle, Leo, Seth, Hunter and Lucas help with the structure please," I hear Dom shout.
Lucas hands me my drink and downs his, giving his cup to me and rushing over to the wood.
"There's going to be a fight," Julia smirks as she walks past me.
I frown as I watch her follow the guys towards the wood.
"What does she mean?" I ask Michelle that's still next to me.
"She doesn't even know why, she just heard Hunter saying he's going to hit the shit out of Lucas," she rolls her eyes.
"Then why tell me?" I frown.
"Don't know," she shrugs.
After half an hour the structure of the bonfire is complete and I've had about three drinks.
Dom calls everyone to make a circle around the bonfire, so that he can light it up.
"Three!" All of us chant
"Two!"
"One!" Soon the wood is on fire and every one backs away a few feet.
The sand is cold under my feet, due to the Sun that's setting.
I take my shirt off, revealing the black and white bikini top I had on.
My blue wash shorts, covering my plain black matching bikini bottoms.
'Come get her' by Rae Sremmurd starts playing and Michelle immediately looks at me.
"This is your song!" She shouts in joy and we start dancing.
"Somebody come get her!"
"She's dancing like a stripper!"
Soon the beach is filled up with most of our grade, both drunk and sober, with everybody dancing to the loud music and drinking out of red solo cups.
