I texted with my best friend after the situation. She was so happy and she kept on talking about how sweet he was in their messages now, sending all the cheesy messages where he confessed how much he liked her and how nervous he was to tell her.

'Is this okay with you?' She texted. 'It seemed like you liked him a lot.'

Of course she could see through me. She wasn't my best friend for nothing.

'He's just a friend to me! Of course it's okay, silly.' I replied.
