Chapter 37

Fallon awoke after what had felt like the best nap she had ever taken, her body warm and accompanied but not by that of her girlfriend nor Lauren.. it was Camila bundled gently against her side with a steady flowing breath and a comfortable looking face, she glanced down with a smile before noticing the sounds of movement beside her

"Oh Lauren.. I uh.. didn't hear you come in?"

"I got home like an hour ago.. thought you two looked comfortable so I didn't bother to wake you.."

She smiled back sipping on a hot coffee within her palms as she place down her phone beside her leaning just over the counter looking on at the two girls still neatly positioned at the top of the couch, it was shocking actually as Fallon didn't really like human contact unless it was from either herself or mani, but she looked more than comfortable right now as the younger continued her slumber

"Wasn't exactly expecting you to be here though"

"Yeah well, I owed her more than an apology so.. we just talked for a while, she seemed to forgive me? I mean she asked if I wanted to watch a movie and then I guess we just fell asleep..."

Fallon explained not mentioning their previous conversation as Camila had happily agreed to keep it a secret, at least for now.. it wasn't a bad secret more of a guilt saving white lie that both knew Lauren had no purpose in knowing

"I'm glad you guys made up, just keep it that way won't you! I love her Fallon and she needs love more than anyone right now so.."

"I know Lo.. I promise this time is for real.. we talked it out like I said and I think now we understand each other a little better.. she's a good person.."

Fallon admit before the slight shuffling of the girl beside her caught her attention, she looked down to see her eyebrows scrunching and her arms lifting to stretch, she moved slightly not wanting to make her feel awkward when she awoke to realise the position they had been laying in, she opened up her eyes with a tired yawn glancing up to see Lauren stood at the counter and then up to see Fallon still laying into the couch

"Oh hey.. sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep on you..."

She giggled lifting herself up to scratch at her eyes before untangling herself from the covers to go and happily greet her girlfriend who instantly wrap her warm arm around her small shoulder with a cute loving forehead kiss

"Good sleep baby?"

"Mhmm.. I didn't even realised I was tired.. how's grandma?"

"She's good, Fallon told me you guys made up?"

Camila smiled looking over at the woman in front who issued back a comforting wink noticed by Lauren who only felt relief in the moment, her wounded heart now obviously healed as there was little to no tension in the room

"Yeah we talked, same page and all that shit, hey Fallon you wanna stay for dinner or?"

"Love to but mani wants to go out.. but thanks anyway, I should probably head back.. she's gonna think I've murdered you by now.."

She laughed as she shuffled forwards to push on her shoes standing with a smile that Lauren walked over to embrace like a small happy puppy thankful for the dismissal of shouting, Camila couldn't help but swoon over how perfectly their bodies formed together, that was true friendship.. a friendship she was proud of herself for not letting the elder cut off..

"I'll see you guys later"

She finished before walking herself out to leave the apartment, Lauren turned back to face the younger with a happy grin returning to her side with warm hands over top of her rib cage
