36 ~ On the hunt ~

Two weeks later
Cameron POV
We got school today obviously we not trinna go but boss making us even Laila. She protested but once he said that we were all falling behind and had a chance of not graduating she agreed. Still no words on Khari yet. Laila been going so crazy we had all this kids stay with nana and Ms.T. she been having some  bad ass night terrors now boss got people to bring us breakfast and we about to leave after Laila come downstairs. We were eating when she came downstairs with sweatpants and a sweat shirt with her 4c hair in a bun.

Me: Baby you gonna eat we got some time
Laila: No I'm fine

Yea she hasn't really been eating either. I put some snacks in my book bag in case she get hungry later. Before we knew it it was time for us to leave we got in our cars and headed back to school. Now all of us have been going to school besides these last 2 weeks. Laila hasn't been here since she had the baby I just hope those girls don't try her again fr. We walked in the building and went out separate ways she had her first class by herself. As she was walking away I kissed her hand and she continued walking.

Laila POV
My son is missing and this shit hole is the last place I wanna be. But I gotta graduate so I gotta push through it. I walked into my home room and sat in the back hoping no one noticed me. I started getting my stuff out when I got tapped on the shoulder I looked up to see a girl.

??: Your in my seat
Me: Don't see your name on it
??- Wait she looks familiar Laila

Then it hit me these were the bitches who use to bully me.

Girl- OMG didn't even notice it was your with how big you've gotten
Girl2- She has gotten big
Me- Look leave me alone
Girl- Aww what you gonna run out of class again Cam isn't here to protect you this time
Me- Listen bitch unless you want a new face I suggest you and your friend get the fuck outta mine
Girl- Hmmm big bitch thinks she's tough
Me- Try me

I said while standing up just as the teacher walked in and cleared her throat

Teacher- Is there a problem ladies
Girl- Laila was causing a problem Mrs.Beaver
Teacher- Please keyshia I know how you and ya little friend are leave that girl alone before I send both you to the office Take a seat NOW

With that they walked away but not before her side kick saying this isn't over. After the took their seats she started with the lesson.

Teacher- Ok this lesson is about love and Lose At the end of the week I want a written essay that's worth it's 50% of your final grade

The class was filled with signs and groans

Teacher- I don't wanna hear all that but it's a personal essay I want y'all to dig deep ok don't bring me no bullshit

The rest of class drug on along with the whole school day well the three classes I had anyway The bell rung dismissing my last class I can finally leave. I walked to my locker to put some books away when I felt a presence behind me. I turned around to see Cameron with a smile on her face and some flowers in her hand It honestly made me smile.

Me- What are these for?

Cameron POV
Me- Just wanted something to make you smile
Laila- It worked that you babe
Me- Your welcome mami

With that we walked to the car and I started driving to the house when we pulled up I guess she noticed they were no cars
