Kaeya x Reader (High School AU)

(Y/N)'s POV
The news said that there'll be a typhoon today but our school didn't suspend classes for some reason. It's already our last subject and it's only drizzling so I'm praying that it'll rain hard later when I get home.

We're doing an activity in homeroom where we draw, I notice the sound of the rain get louder and louder until I realize that it's basically a storm now.

'How will I get home now...?'

I sigh and continue drawing to drown out the sound of the rain.

The bell rang signaling us to submit and leave.

I walk to the Adventurer's Guild room to get the checklist for the after school checking

"Amber isn't with you, (Y/N)?" Katheryn asked when I came in

"Nope, she got sick yesterday"

I grabbed the checklist and readied to head out

"Oh, you don't need to check today, you can go home already since the storm is strong"

"What about you? We can always clean the club room tomorrow"

Katheryn chuckled "We spend a lot of time here in the club room, I don't want people getting sick because of dust"

"You're too nice, bye" I waved goodbye

"Take care, go home immediately"

I nodded and head out.

'This can't be happening'

I stood at the entrance of the school searching for my umbrella in my bag

'Did I really forget my umbrella the day there's a typhoon?!'

I sighed in annoyance "Looks like I'm staying here"

There's literally no signal from our school so it's no use to call a taxi, the faculty room and the nurse's office are all locked by this time so I really don't have a choice

'I literally work a part-time job in the weekends just to pay for this...'

"Hm? (Y/N)?" I look behind me and saw Kaeya "Oh- uh- hey" I awkwardly laughed "What's wrong? Didn't you bring an umbrella?"

I tense up at his question, he's going to think I'm stupid for forgetting my umbrella the day there's a storm

"Unfortunately yes..." I looked down

"Do you wanna borrow mine?" Kaeya asked as he brought out his umbrella

"No no, it's fine I'll just wait it out"

"(Y/N) no, I don't want you getting sick again" he said with a grumpy face

Kaeya looked like he got an idea "How about we share the umbrella?"

I blushed at his suggestion and he looked confused

'Sharing an umbrella with the boy I'm unsure whether I like him or not?! Is this some sort of sign from the archons??'

Kaeya realized what his suggestion meant and looked surprised "T-That is if you want..." he stuttered out.

I agreed since I had no choice if I wanted to get home immediately
