What's up, guys! Kalina here with another episode from Supa Strikas. Being a part of this team has its rewards but also hardships. Especially when you correct your mistakes that will make it or break it for the next game. So check out what happens. It's game time, everyone!
STRIKALAND...
[It's the first leg of the Supa Strikas versus Barka doubleheader. The Spanish pass masters are in complete control.]
[You said it, Brenda. I can't remember the last time Supa Strikas had the ball.]
Jordi (dirty-blonde hair/#12) had the ball.
FWIP!
But Kalina steals it back.
[Now that's more like it. Brilliant tackle from the Supa Warrior.]
KICK!
She sends it over to Cool-Joe.
BUNT!
But Barka's striker chest bumps it to the far-left corner.
[And Riano snuffs out the danger.]
[What a time being anyway. Supa Strikas have one last chance to equalize with this corner.]
The team in red huddle up.
"Alright guys...I know it's been a tough game, but Barka are vulnerable to de high ball. This is our chance, mon."
Once the ref sets the ball down, Cool-Joe takes position as the others mark their opponents. Amongst them were the lead strikers themselves.
"You tried your best, Shakes, but even Supa Strikas are no match for our movement and control."
"Game's not ever yet, Riano."
KICK!
FWOOM!
[Shakes is unmarked!]
[It's an open goal!]
"...Uh!"
WHAM!
"(Team) Ooh~!"
[Oh, no! He missed it!]
THUMP!
CLACK/SHACK—SHACK/CLICK!
[After a mistake like that, he'll want to miss tomorrow's headlines as well.]
>>>>>>>NEXT MORNING>>>>>>>
"Shakes/Over here, Shakes!"
From outside the Stirkas bus, the media had their cameras and tape recorders out after last night's incident.
"Shakes, over here! Can we get a comment on your horrible hit?"
The young striker says nothing as he stands up from his seat, wearing sunglasses.
"You know vhat zey say, Shakes," Kalus points out, "zere is no such thing as bad publicity."
When the team walks out, the media surrounds Shakes.
"Ben-Zed from Futbol-360. Is it true you can't header to save your life?"
"What chances," Lena intervenes, "do Supa Strikas have with the return leg agaisnt Barka, if you can't master the basics?"
Shakes pushes his way through the crowd.
"Maybe they should change the saying to 'there's o such thing as publicity, unless the ball hits you in the face on international television'."
