As I write this description, I have about 8 different ideas for this bloody book. Let's hope the one that I've picked out works!

Bardock and Gine made a 3rd spawn, a girl called (Y/N), 19 years before the invasion of Frieza and his army.

The Saiyans won the war, but lost a lot in the run. Young (Y/N) lost her parents, and nearly both her brothers, and all of her friends, leaving her with no choice but to sign up for the Royal Saiyan Guards.

Being a low-class Saiyan was not something to be proud of in her rank, as she was still tormented by the elites, as is the way of the world on Planet Vegeta. Being taken prisoner for a short while doesn't really help the situation, either.
