Not all dark is evil. 

Hotaru Nakajima was not born to be soft. She was born to make the world shatter and shake at her fingertips. She was bathed in darkness from the moment she touched the light and in that darkness she took solace. But there was one thing that she clung to. The last shred of light in her darkness and that was Atsushi. The little brother she was abandoned with at that dreadful orphanage when they were too small to fight against the horrors of the world. He was the light to her everlasting darkness and she would do anything to protect her light even if it meant embracing the evils of the world. 

She allowed herself to walk the path of the underground killing mercilessly and sowing fear amongst the living. All for the sake of her brother. She threw away her humanity because apathy was better than tears. Better than grief and and better than guilt.   

But when she finally steps away from the darkness and takes to the light her past comes calling again. For those born of darkness are never truly able to escape it. Now she puts everything on the line for the brother she had sworn to protect. But can she truly protect him from all who wish to obtain him? Can she truly prevent tragedy when some people are born with tragedy in their blood? What is she willing to sacrifice to protect those she had come to care for when faced with ghosts of the past?

Because sometimes it takes a monster to destroy a monster.

No matter how many times he convinced himself, he was afraid. Afraid of losing, afraid of his father. But he is done sitting back and doing nothing. He isn't about to give up this time. He isn't going to lose anyone else. He's going to defeat his father once and for all. He is going to get Kai back.
