-day 6 of training camp

kageyama was struggling to keep focus and it showed. he now knows where y/n lives but he doesn't know what to do about it. if he went to visit her would she be mad? scared? weirded out? the fact that he couldn't control the outcome made kageyama frustrated, scared.

right now they were going against nekoma and loosing by a 1 point. daichi received it and kageyama was about to set it but his hand slipped and the ref called a double touch. Then he got subbed out. 

"hey kageyama it's okay" sugawara said while switching out.

kageyama just nodded his head.

"kid don't take it personally but i think you deserve a break you seem tired" coach ukai (dadae) said 

for the rest of the set kageyama sat on the bench. on the other court ema saw and decided to talk to him after.

after the game was done the teams were given free time until dinner. 

so before anyone could even talk to kageyama he walked out of the gym. everyone was worried and hinata was about to go after him but ema pulled him back and mouthed 

'I got this' 

she smiled at him and walked out.

once she was outside she spotted him under a tree holding his knees to his chest, eyes closed and deep in thought. 

so she snuck beside him and sat down. 

after maybe 5-6 minutes past she spoke up.

"so wanna tell me what's going on?" she said looking up at the tree

kageyama jumped a little bit and ema laughed

"how long were you there for?!?!" he asked in a little panic.

"like 5-6 mins" she said chuckling

"oh" he sighed "i have a question"

"shoot" 

"I'M NOT GONNA SHOOT YOU WHAT THE HECK" 

"IDIOT I MEANT SHOOT AS IN GO AHEAD" 

"oh" 

"OH MY ASS JUST ASK THE QUESTION" 

"OKAY OKAY, if you were in love with a girl who was far away from you would you visit her"

"oya? oya oya? kageyama with girl problems?"

"y-yeah" 

"well first of all have you met her in real life?" 

"well i-uh sorta"

ema slowly looked at him with a very confused face

"kageyama what do you mean you sorta met her in real life, ITS A YES OR NO QUESTION THERES NO IN BETWEEN"

"C-CALM DOWN CALM DOWN it's a long story... let's just say i haven't met her in real life. but i'm falling for her."

"what do you like about her?"

"well her eyes, her hair, the way she types and talks, the way she works hard, i-i mean sometimes she works a little too hard but that just makes me want to take care of her even more" 

kageyama rambled about her for around 10 minutes and finally started to conclude.

"oh and she's funny and kind to everyone which makes me want to fall even more. y-yknow?" kageyama said looking over back to ema

to his surprise she was crying with little smile

"W-WOAH I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU CRY" 

"no no it's okay it just seems like you're really in love with her." she sniffled then stood up

"it is now my life duty to get you to meet her now matter where we have to go!" she stuck her hand out to shake kageyama's 

"w-well you don't have to go that far" kageyama said looking away but still shook her hand.

she sat back down 

"jeez i wonder if she could love tsundere like you back" 

"SHUT UP" 

ema started to laugh. then silence washed over them

"a-are you in love with anyone?" kageyama asked hesitantly

"maybe i'm not sure yet. i know i have feelings him but i feel like i wouldn't be enough for him" she laughed

but before kageyama could protest someone yelled out to them

"EMAAAAAAA DINNER IS READY! TELL THE GRUMPY SETTER DUDE THAT IT'S READY TOO!!!"  Bokuto yelled

"thank bokuto-san!!" she yelled back while standing up. 

"okay we can talk later. let's get dinner then maybe we can play a match like a two vs two later"

"okay, wait what do you mean we?"

"WhAt dO yOu MeAn We?" she mocked "I MEANT BOTH OF US IDIOT" 

"jeez you switch personalities very quickly" he mumbled 

"oh shut up stupid let's go" 

the got to the gym door but emma got pulled aside by another setter.

"oh hey akaashi" she said with a smile

"ema i need to talk to you" he said glancing at kageyama

"okay shoot" 

before he could say anything kageyama spoke up

"don't actually shoot her, she's telling you to go ahea-" he started but got hit in the head by ema

"idiot he knows tha-" 

"kageyama-kun i need to talk to ema alone" both ema and kageyama looked at akaashi who looked quite pissed off

"yeah, okay" he said before giving a little wave then leaving to the dinner hall.
