Ruel x Reader, two music worlds collide

Part 5

Breakfast that day was spent explaining how we would start introducing our relationship. The big thing was that on Friday we were going on a big date at a fancy restaurant, that was today.
Ruel was going to pick me up at seven and currently it was twelve. I rolled out of bed to just sit down on my couch and put on Seinfeld, I took up my phone and sent a text to me and my friends group chat:
You need to be up 7.30 am your time cause that's when Im getting ready for my date with Ruel and I need mental support through FaceTime

The day went on pretty normally, I ate some lunch, watched some more Seinfeld and then laid down on the grass in my backyard with a book. As I was about to fall asleep I got a text message from Ruel
hey what are you going to wear, Nate wants us to match
typical nate🙄
anyway I'm going to wear a dress, thinking of wearing my black silk dress with a slit over the left thigh
Great I'll wear a pair of grey dress slacks and a black dress shirt
Sounds good

After closing the text app i checked the time, it read 5 o'clock and I realised I had to jump into the shower if I didn't want to miss the call from my friends
I jumped out of the shower and the second I was done with the lotion and had put on some underwear my phone called

" heeeeeeeeeeey" my friend Tina said as I answered
" ohhgh sexy lady" continued my other friend Lara
" hello" I said with a laugh
" where's Olivia?" I ask noticing that it only was us three
" she's on her way, she had to eat breakfast first" said Lara
"Well now you gotta explain to us, first you loved Ruel and was so excited to move to Australia, then you hate him and can't stand the idea of him and now your going on a date with him" says Tina and I start explaining everything.
" you need to call me every day from now on so that I can keep up with your life" Lara says with a laugh
I agree and then Olivia joins the call. Since Olivia and I keep in touch almost every day I didn't have to explain anything to her.
" well I think we're gonna dress you up real nice and make him all horny"
" omg Lara what has happened to you, I leave for a year and you're a brand new person!"
We all laugh and then I show them the outfit Im going to wear
" omg!" tina exclaims as I twirl around
"what?" I ask kind of worried
" can't you wear a black thong under the dress!"
" you got me scared cause you want me to wear a thong!"
" yes what if something happens?!" she says wiggling her eyebrows
" nothing's gonna happen"
" then put it on for meeee"
I roll my eyes and change.

After getting my makeup and accessories done we talk for a while before we all hang up. I walk into my kitchen checking the time seeing it's only five minutes until Ruel comes. I pull out a champagne class and drink some cheap champagne while waiting for him trying to ease my nerves. 7 on the dot my doorbell rings and I rush to the door, before I open I straighten out my dress and take a deep breath.

" Hey" I say when I see him
" he- woah" he says when he sees me making me blush. I invite him in and when he takes of his jacket he gives me a hug. Not gonna lie this man gives the best hugs in the world. We walk over to my kitchen island where the champagne is standing
" you've been partying" he says with a laugh
" actually only had a sip, do you want some?" I ask
" I'm driving remember" he says
" well then let's share what's left in my glass and then put the bottle in the fridge for later" I say taking away the bottle
" are you implying that i'm gonna come over tonight" Ruel says giving me a wink
" well if you wanna follow Nate's rules then yes that's what I'm implying" I say giggling.
We drink up what's left in my glass which is like two sips each.
" We should get going if we don't wanna lose our table"
" right" I say and we walk out to the car, Ruel's hand on my back causing small butterflies to erupt in my stomach.

We arrive at this beautiful Italian restaurant with red and white checkered tablecloths but in a classy way. As we walk in Ruel puts his hand on my lower back again and walk up to the head waiter
" a table for two"
" what's the name" the girl says and looks up, god she's gorgeous. Long, thick and curly black hair, defined eyebrows. She has some light make up with dark lipstick on and she's wearing a pair of dress pants and a white fitted dress shirt.
" Ruel " Ruel says and she picks up two menus and takes us to a table close to a window. We sit down and she hands us the menus
" i'm guessing Nate choose the table" I say
" he literally called the restaurant and asked which table would be easiest for the paparazzi to shoot, he gave them an anonymous tip about us being here half an hour ago"
We laugh at his manager desperate actions and then look over the menu.
