Part 14

" the post's doing good" he scrolled on his instagram as he said this, both of us still in bed
" let's just not talk about the outside world"
I slung my leg over his waist straddling him, he gave me a chocked look before placing his hands on my hips
" well if this is the other option then i'll gladly stop talking about the outside world"
I leaned down as I traced my hand up his chest and put them next to his head
" typical teenage boy filled with hormones"
" you sound like Nate"
" ew don't talk about him when"
" when?"
" oh shut up"
our lips connected and he moaned into my mouth making me smirk.

The grip on my hips tightened making sure to leave marks when he started to grind me onto him. It was my turn to moan, pulling away I started kissing at his neck leaving more hickeys. He sat up and moved back so that he leaned against the head board tugging at my shirt signalling for me to take it off. I shook my head and he pulled away confused
" how about I ride your thigh baby" I bit at his earlobe as I said this and in an instant he put me on one of his legs
" you-"
and then my phone rang, once again ruining a moment. The screen lit up the room and Ruel groaned as he banged his head against the headboard.

" hey don't do that you'll hurt yourself"
" well start turning off your phone before these situations and i'll stop doing it"
I picked up the phone and was met by Sophie's voice She told me that my record label wanted to have a meeting tomorrow at one, the heaviness of her voice slightly worrying me.

I left Ruel's place after a few hours wanting to get my thoughts straight in time for tomorrow's meeting. That wasn't the best idea, being alone with my thoughts a whole day before the meeting caused my anxiety around it to spike. All of the worst scenarios flashed through my head and it wasn't until 3 in the morning that I fell asleep.

Waking up to my alarm at 7 wasn't the nicest thing to say the least. I hoped into the shower trying to collect my thoughts once again which as before didn't work. The car ride over was even more torturous and as I stepped into the office Sophie's face wasn't one of comfort.

" Elsa why don't you sit down" Liza said, the CEO of Sophie's company
" why am I here?" I asked nervously as I fixed my chair
" so the company has done it's review of our incomes, the results show that we need to do some cuts in the budget. So we will not be renewing your contract in a month"
" of course I will help you find a new manager, there's a company in Sweden who would love to have you" Sophie continued after Liza. I was in such a state of chock I completely blacked out, and before I knew it I was standing outside of Ruel's house.

" hey what are you- what happened?" he engulfed me in a hug as he saw my tear stained face
" it's my contract"
he pulled me inside and dragged me to his bed. After putting on Seinfeld, fetching ice cream and a hoodie he laid down next to me.
" wanna talk about it?" his arms wrapped around me as he kissed my head
" not right now" I answered through sniffles. At some point I fell asleep cause around dinner Ruel woke me up. We went down stairs and sat down, starting to eat some pasta with tomato sauce.
" baby what's wrong with the contract"
" they're not gonna renew it so I'll probably have to move back to Sweden, but let's not-"
" you're moving?!"
" it's not final but maybe anyway I really don't want to tal-"
" why didn't you tell me? You come here and tell me something is up with your contract and then you don't want to talk about it, which is fine don't get me wrong! but now you're telling me you're gonna move?!"
" why are you freaking out?"
" I'm freaking out? You're the one who's not telling me anything!"
He was standing up by now and I started to get out of my seat
" Ruel what's going on?"
" you know coming here and acting all sad just so that i'll offer you a new contract is really shitty of you!"
" that was real low, call me when you grow up"

I started collecting my things when he broke down, crying like I've never seen before and sliding down a wall. I stilled and looked at him with his head in his hands, after a few moments I sat down in front of him threading my hands through his hair
" ruel.. how, are you okay?"
"you need to talk to me" I said and he finally looked up. I pulled him into me with him resting on my shoulder
" it's stupid"
" you lashed out at me and you're crying on the floor, it's not stupid" i continue to drag my hands through his hair trying to calm him down
" what ever it is i'm here to listen"
" it's everything I guess, people's comments and dms are getting to me. People don't believe our relationship is real and send shit for that, then there's people who believe i like you but think you're just with me for the fame. People are calling me gullible and stupid making me want to announce everything but then we have Nate and Sophie who doesn't want us to even be together. And you know even though you don't want it to the things people say get to you it does so when you came here and- you see it's stupid"
" it's not stupid, not one bit. The internet's cruel and that's gonna affect you as a person in public no matter how much it sucks. Tomorrow we'll talk to Nate about "going public" because I hate seeing you like this"
" that's the only reason you wanna go public" he says teasing me as he lifts his head of my shoulder
" shut up"
" make me"
I roll my eyes before leaning in and giving him a soft kiss. As I pull away he hums softly before pulling me onto his lap
" your having bigger mood swings than I do during my period"

A/N so I have a bit of a problem with figuring out where this story is going so that's why it will take longer for new parts to be posted, but they will be. Anyway hope you liked this chapter
