Ruel x Reader, two music worlds collide

Part 11

" come on why are you so stressed?" Ruel was standing behind me while I was doing my make up in his bathroom
" i'm gonna ignore that question"
" honestly Elsa, it's just my parents. We're not even together"
" but they think we are. Now either you start being supportive or you leave the bathroom"
At that he shut up and sat down on the counter next to all my makeup. He looked at me trying to stay quiet but his intense stare made me unfocused
" okay Ruel this isn't working"
" whyyyy I'm quiet" he said with a sad look on his face
" you're staring extremely tense on my face" I put down my mascara and started to finish the look with lipstick
" well what am I supposed to do?"
" get yourself ready?"
" I'm already done"
" aaand so am I" I smacked my lips at the end of the sentence and looked at him. He looked at me and slowly started to lean in. Our lips were just about to touch before I pulled away
" rueeel"
"elsaaaaa"
" we shouldn't be kissing"
It felt awful, the sad look on his face and the heavy feeling in my heart. I didn't know what to do, was this really the right decision?

The car ride to his parents was silent, as most of our car rides was now a day. I stared out the window watching the beautiful landscape pass by, my thought running wild. When we arrived we sat outside for a few minutes discussing the "rules" for the night, such as no kissing on the mouth. We also walked through how we got together to get our story's straight.

As we walked out of the car Coco met us at the door, greeting me with the most amazing hug i've ever received. She lead us into a huge living room and asked us to sit down at one of the couches while she got the rest of the family. Ruel was sitting beside me with his arm on my shoulders and me leaning against him. I closed my eyes and tried to breathe normally
" hey you okay" Ruel whispered in my ear as he looked on my panicked face
" what if they don't like me" I said opening my eyes and looking at him
" I promise you they'll love you but even if they don't you don't have to worry it's only PR" he winked as he said PR and gave me a light kiss on the cheek trying to calm me down
" that just makes it worse, they don't think it's a PR stung so if I acted all uninterested they would hate me and I would hate myself"
" elsa calm down, they'll love you"

Coco came back followed by Ruel's parents, his other sister Sylvie and their dog Wilbur who when he saw Ruel jumped in his lap. The rest of the family sat down and we all's tarted talking
" well Elsa tell me how did you two get together?" Coco asked and this immediately caught Sylvie's attention
"now this is a story I want to hear cause Ruel has been obsessed with you since your released your first single" Sylvie said looking at me
" now was that a necessary statement?" Ruel said giving her a look
" oh shut up you baby I wanna hear this story now" Coco continued slightly shaking me
" so our managers set up a meet, you know so that we could write the song that releases in... how long?" I looked at Ruel trying to give this story some realness and making it not sound rehearsed
" next week I think"
" yeah anyway we met and just clicked, as we started to work in the studio he started slowly flirting with me and stupid as I am I didn't realise that until he asked me on a date. We went on a date at the most beautiful restaurant and I guess things just developed after that"
" If my brother is able to get with his celebrity crush then Harry Styles here I come" Coco said and my heart just melted. Ruel was right I love her.

" I think it's time for us leave" Ruel said as he sneaked up behind me, putting his arms around my waist
" already?" I was in the middle of a conversation with Coco and Sylvie therefor leaving was the last thing on my mind
" it's already 23.11 and I need to drive you to your place and then home. I don't wanna fall asleep while I'm driving"
" oh but she can stay at your place" Sylvie said and started the conversation again
" would you be comfortable with that?" Ruel whispered softly in my ear, giving my waist a small squeeze. I looked at him and gave a small nod, he was about to pull away when I broke the only rule that mattered: I kissed him. He looked shocked as we pulled away and his sisters awed in unison
" how come he's in a relationship and I'm not" Sylvie jokingly said to Coco as Ruel walked away.

At one o'clock Ruel and I headed to his place. Soft music played in the car while and his eyes flickered from the road to me
" I have to ask, what was that?"
" hmm?"
" you know what I mean Elsa, the kiss"
He had pulled into his driveway and shut of the car, his body now turned towards me. I got nervous and started fidgeting with my hands, staring intensely at them as I answered
" honestly I have no idea, it might be the wine or the moment but I'm sorry"
" if we're gonna talk you'll have to look at me"
" sorry"
" Elsa I don't get you right now, you wanna stay friends but then you kiss me in front of my family. These ups and downs are driving me crazy"
" well I don't know what's happening either. You think it's easy for me, going from adoring you and your music to hating you to liking you to hooking up with you to not talking to you to kissing you to only being friends. I'm confused Ruel, I barely understood that sentence"
" I barely understand you!"
We became quiet after that and walked into his house.

We entered the kitchen together and he took a glass of water
" listen I'm gonna need a straight answer from you"
" about what Ruel, i've already given you an answer"
" that you keep on changing!"
" I've not changed my answer"
" no no cause friends kiss all the time"
He rolled his eyes and put his glass down so he could stand in front of me
" I told you. I didn't mean for it to happen!"
" but it did! You need to make up your mind if I'm gonna get any peace of mind!"
" The problem with that is that I can't make up my mind! I don't know what I want"
" deep down you do!"
" oh what do you want me to say? That I like you, that I don't want to be just friends but that I don't know what will happen if we become more than that? That kissing you drives me insane?! that-"
Ruel's lips was quickly on mine pressing me into the counter behind me. His hands grabbed at my hips and I froze, he pulled away looking like he was about to say something
" that's what drives you insane?" his voice was laced with teasing and it really drove me insane. I didn't answer just put my hands in his hair and pulled him back.

He grabbed my thighs and hiked me up on the counter. His tongue slowly slid across my bottom lip asking for entrance which I gladly gave him. My hands pulled at his hair and he moaned into my mouth. He started kissing down my neck, leaving hickeys all over.

Things escalated quickly from there, seconds later we were in his bedroom.

The morning after I woke up with his arms wrapped around my waist holding me tightly against him
