Ruel x Reader, two music worlds collide

Part 10

Today Ruel and I had gone on another one of our PR dates, the usual with him picking me up, us sitting down at a very visible table and then being extremely friendly while waiting for his car. He drove me to his place since I was going to spend the night and we were sitting on opposite sides of the couch, what ever relationship behaviour we had before disappeared in private.

Seinfeld was on the tv but we weren't really watching it, Ruel on his phone and my mind was going insane
" do you hate me?" this caused him to look up at me with a chocked look
" do you hate me for the decision I made?"
" why do you think that?" he looked concerned but that didn't answer my question. Why would I think he hated me? Maybe cause of the fact that he barely talks to me when it's just the two of us, he doesn't play flirt anymore and he's very prone to keeping his distance
" it's just.." I couldn't bring my self to finish the sentence, I felt awful. I made the decision to keep our friendship the way it was but it just changed everything
" Elsa, I don't hate you and I think you know that. It's just hard to know what I should do and what I shouldn't, what's crossing the line and what isn't?"
" that's the thing! I want everything to be normal, like it was before and that's why I made the decision, to not jeopardise anything"
We both started laughing now. My enthusiasm and his confusion just made it a laughable situation.

After collecting ourselves and trying to find a way to act with our it feeling pushed, we were sitting in the middle of the couch and once again ignoring the show but this time together
" by the way, Nate wants you to meet my parent"
" that's the weirdest way anyone has ever asked me to meet their parents"
" well this is definitely the weirdest " relationship" i've been in"
" so they're really bringing our families into this mess"
" I guess so"
" this is kind of getting out of hand"
" well se the plus side of this, you're going to meet my sister Coco and you two will love each other"

The night went on, Ruel contacted his parents and asked them when we could come over and they invited us in for diner the night after. I called Sophie and asked her to deliver some clothes to Ruel's place for me to wear and then we went to bed.

A/N : I am so sorry it has taken me extremely long to update and this is barely an update but I've had a lot in school and an annoying writers block. Anyway hope you enjoyed this awkward and weird update, hopefully a new update will come this weekend
