"Castiel you need to be careful around these two men. You heard what the other angels told you..", you said strict but also worried
"Y/N I know what everyone says but I'm the only one who really knows them. You can't just judge people by there appearance. If you really want to know how they are come with me and see for yourself", the young angel said looking furious
As the older sibling you worry about him especially now. He spends more time on earth than in heaven. It started with one mission he had down there but now he rarely comes back home. The other angels started to worry too but also started to fantasize about things he may be doing. You don't like rumors around Castiel. He's your favorite sibling out of all because he is so diffrent. The others don't understand his intuitions but you atleast try to understand him. So you followed his advice and came with him to earth to visit the Winchesters. First you just watched them to see how they interact with Castiel. You were positively surprised how nice they were. His bond with Dean was especially strong, you could tell that from just the looks they gave each other. You saw enough and asked Castiel if you could show yourself to them. He agreed but said nothing because you wanted so how they would react to you. As you showed up behind Castiel both of them took out their weapons and pointed them at you, as you expected. But then something unexpected happend what really surprised you. Dean came forward and took Castiel behind himself to protect him. If he wouldn't care about him he wouldn't have done that.
"I come in peace", you said raising your hands to show that you don't carry any weapon.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?", Dean asked with a serious look on his face
"No worries Dean. I'm Y/N, an angel, and I have come to collect informations about you two."
Both looked at Castiel and so he explained the whole situation. After that they put away their weapons and asked me to sit down. Sam was very talkative and asked a lot while Dean silently watched me. You expected them to be this way. Dean, as the older one, protective, serious and hard to earn his trust. While Sam was more open for new things but also not naive. You guessed his questioning came along this easy because they've talked to a lot of beings their days.
"So but why exactly are you investigating on us?"
"Well I've wanted to see you in person. I've heard a lot about you both lately, not very positive though. As an older sibling I wanted to protect Castiel from potential danger but I couldn't believe that you're suppose to be how everyone says you are. Castiel offered me to come with him to meet you so I could build my opinion on you myself."
"And what result did you came up with?", Dean asked
You smiled a little surprised because you didn't expect him to talk to you.
"I came to the conclusion that both of you are good people no matter what the others told me. I know we don't get along very well but I assume that it's mostly our fold it evolved like that. I can only speak for myself. I mean no harm and you don't seem to mean such things too."
Castiel watched you the whole time, admiring your kind words. You could feel that a burden was lifted from his shoulders. He sees so much in you as his older sibling. Your relationship is very similar to the one Dean and Sam have. You talked for a while longer until Sam asked to eat dinner. Angels normally don't eat but Castiel explained that they alsways eat together no matter if one doesn't eat. So the brothers wanted to go off to make dinner as you stopped them.
"Dean could I talk to you for a moment?"
He agreed and Castiel quickly went after Sam to help him.
"What is it?", he asked
"Could you promise me something?"
"Depends on what you want."
"Pleas always watch over Castiel."
His face turned from serious to surprised.
"I mean keep doing what you're doing. He doesn't always needs to be protected but he's save with you. I could feel how he felt when he saw you. It was pure joy even though you can't always see that and he smiles more. A long time ago I was the only one who could always make him smile but now it's you Dean. Your bond is very strong and I want it to stay like that. That he met you and Sam was the best that could happen to him. Angels are not how you expect them to be but he was always different. I heard that you met Anna before."
He nodded silently, watching and listening to your words.
"She was also like him but she actually did what she said from an early age on. Castiel was shy most of the time but after Anna fell he realized that her free willed actions had their consequences. And so he again didn't do what he wanted to do. And than you came into his life."
You paused to take a deep breath.
"You mean the world to him", you said while placing your hand on his shoulder
'And I can feel that he means the same to you', you thought
Again he nodded and you felt a warm feeling surrounding him. Castiel isn't good with words so you guess your words meant much to him.
