𝚜𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚛

i slam the apartment door behind me, throwing my bag down on the floor and sliding my shoes off.

"emme!" i call out across the apartment, to which i hear a muffled "yeeesss?" from their room.

"we're going out drinking!" i exclaim back. "get dolled up." i joke, and make my way to my bedroom, laying out my outfit for the night.

the dress i picked out was skin tight, and solid black. the neckline rested just below my collarbones, and the skirt came down to a little above mid thigh.

i claim the bathroom first, much to emme's dismay, and take the next 20 minutes to shower and do my makeup, unlocking the door after i hop out of the shower for them to take my place.

"you excited?" they ask, over the running water.

"yes, of course!" i call back, finishing my eyeliner and beginning to glue on some falsies. "are you? it's not often you get to go out and party" i joke, and they laugh.

"of course i am! it will be even more fun, because it's your birthday." they explain, and i agree, finishing my face and brushing through my hair, allowing it to do its own thing.

i drop my towel, quickly pulling my undergarments on, followed by the dress, which i pulled up by the spaghetti straps.

emme steps out of the shower, working on drying their hair with their extra towel.

"jamie.. wow.." they mumble, their eyes wide. "you look stunning." they compliment, and i flush, thanking them.

"now hurry up! they'll be here in fifteen minutes!" i laugh, exiting the bathroom and  grabbing my bag. i slip on my black heels and wait by the door, my legs bouncing with anticipation.
