Chapter Seven: Villain

In the Kingdom of Avaria there were two bachelors that dominated women's hearts. The crown prince and the archduke. Both were young and powerful men, coupled with handsome appearances so their popularity was inevitable.

If the crown prince would be considered radiant as the sun, then the archduke would be considered as ethereal as the moon.

The most important part of this comparison is that the moon relies on the sun to shine, and will never be brighter than it.

This was how the archduke was brought up. He was forced to suppress his abilities and achievements to always be slightly inferior to that of the prince. This was an open secret and a thorn at the prince's side.

Thus, when the crown prince learned of Noah's obsession with Jenna Multz, he pursued her relentlessly and then shoved their relationship in his face. He knew he was inferior to the archduke in ability but at least he was ahead of him in getting the woman he so admired.

Unknowingly the crown prince truly fell in love with Jenna, and Noah who was once the only man in Jenna's eyes vanished.

Perhaps this was when Noah snapped and became the villain. Forced to suppress for so long, he really couldn't suppress his love and went mad in his devotion. He would do anything for Jenna. And he did everything for her.

Truly a selfless yandere.

He destroyed all obstacles that faced her and the crown prince's relationship, which included the Duchy of Blayyid. Planting false evidence was easy, accusing even more so.

After colluding with the imperial family, the Archduke helped condemn Maya Blayyid and her family to death. However unfortunately for the archduke he was betrayed by the ones he loved the most. The crown prince still felt threatened by this so called 'friend', and seeing how crazy he went for Jenna, he was afraid that one day Noah would be unable to control himself and come after the imperial family for the girl.

So the imperial family turned on the Thrasys duchy, and hung all of its members for conspiring against the crown.

How laughable.

In this world Noah Thrasys was in a similar position to his previous life. He was the heir to a the Thrasys family conglomerate, which was rivalled only by the Has Corporation.

However, at least in this world he didn't have to suppress himself as the two families were hostile to each other. The rivalry between the two is also what led to Leon Has developing an interest in Jenna Multz.

He met Jenna Multz on a set for one of the dramas his father's company was sponsoring. Immediately he fell in love with her innocence, and gentle appearance.

It's rare to find someone so docile and naive in the entertainment world, so he started to quietly support her from behind. They became quick friends and seemed to be well on their way to becoming lovers, until Jenna took a project that was funded by Leon Has.

The two met, and Leon knew that she was the woman of that the Thrasys heir was interested in. So he went after her just like he did in their precious life, and managed to woo her right from the get go even though he had a fiancé.

He then annulled their arrangement at a fairly public banquet, and Maya Blayyid ran away from Balia City for a couple of years. Now that Leon and Jenna had confirmed their feelings and were free to date, Noah was also left in the dust. A year before this whole event occurred was when Archduke Noah was reborn into this world.

Noah was still deep in his memories when a voice snapped him out of his reverie.

"What are you doing here?"

A short distance away from him stood a beautiful white haired woman. Her cold grey eyes were narrowed at him and her arms were folded across her chest. She was wearing a well fitted white dress that hugged her figure, with a black blazer lazily draped across her shoulders.

Stunning.

"Miss Maya Blayyid, it's a pleasure to see you again." With a lazy smile, Noah grabbed Maya's wrist and quickly pulled her into the emergency staircase. Maya didn't say a word and simply let him drag her away. She had no intention of letting others to hear what this foul man had to say to her.

Wringing her wrist out of his grasp Maya coldly spoke to the handsome man infront of her, "Cut to the chase my time is not worth wasting on you."

"I just wanted to talk to you for a minute is that so hard to believe?"

"Oh no, that's not hard to believe at all." She paused tapping a long finger on her chin, "it's just I'm surprised that you have the audacity to still show up in front of me."

His breath seemed to catch in his throat at her words.

"I wanted to apologize to you."

"Apologize?" Stepping closer to the man, her lips curled into a sneer, "haven't you already apologized? What use is there to bring up these petty words in front of me again?"

He stared down at the girl, "you haven't forgiven me. Well I'm not surprised I really was vile towards you. I"

"Mr Thrasys, there's no use keeping up this charade any longer." Raising a brow at the man, "you must be aware that it hasn't been very long since my soul appeared in this realm right?"

Noah gulped audibly at her words and the ever decreasing proximity between the two.

Not caring for his personal comfort, "oh you stupid man. The events from that wretched book were only a year ago for me."

Her eyes grew crazed and filled with hatred, "my memories of you lovingly destroying my body and my family are very fresh."

Stepping back from the man, he could see her body was trembling but her words did not falter,"so how dare you think you can waltz into my life again with petty apologies."

"Don't worry I don't care about Miss Multz, and will be doing my utmost to steer clear of her."

Noah wanted to protest that he wasn't here for Jenna, but rather for her. However, he seemed unable to speak.

"Do yourself a favour and disappear from my sight."

With those final words, Maya exited the staircase without looking back.

Noah's eyes grew cold, as he watched the figure disappear from his sight.

No. I'm not letting her go like this.
