Christmas Special

Author's POV

"Ooh! That's such a big tree! I haven't seen a tree like this in our country!" the blonde farmer kid exclaimed in excitement "let's decorate it!" The albino smiled as he walked towards the tree along with Kyoka behind him "You haven't decorated the tree yet!?" Yelled the certain bossy detective with dirty blonde hair in ponytail.

"B-but kunikoda-San--" the albino never managed to finish his sentence "do you know how much we're off from schedule!?" He yelled again, scolding almost everyone in the office while the certain detective was just watching from behind

He was sitting on his desk with his ramune in his hand, he was actually excited, there was lot of things for him to do, Christmas had its fun and he knew it. Just something was less

His Christmas snacks

"Kunikida, when will my snacks arrive?" He asked in kinda bored tone as if Kunikida was postman "sorry, Ranpo-San. It must arrive by now" his attitude completely changed towards his superior "hmph" pouted the detective.

The door opened, revealed kenji holding bunches of boxes "Ranpo-san's cookies arrived!" He said smiling as if the large boxes weren't heavy at all. Upon hearing it, the spiky haired detective jumped off of his desk "perfect! Put them here!" He said smiling cheerfully "yes!" The little boy walked towards his superior's desk, he didn't seem bothered holding those heavy boxes

"We're done setting the table~" said the teenage girl as she jumped on her brother's arm "Ooh! I can't wait to eat them all!" The farmer boy admired the sight on the table as it was filled with fried chicken, desserts, juices and wine

"Not yet, we still have one hour" said the certain ponytail haired detective as he looked at his watch "these Christmash cookies awre more delicious" said Ranpo while munching on his cookies "can you give me that lamp, Kyoka-Chan?" Said Atsushi smiling while he was almost done decorating it, the younger girl nodded as she reached for the red lamp, handing it to Atsushi "thank you" he smiled closed eyes "Atsushi don't forget to add candies too!" Ranpo waved his hand at Atsushi

"I'm not sure if candies are really needed though.." the albino made an "are you serious?" Like expression but decided to obey "are you sure, Ranpo-San?" Asked the blonde detective "of course i'm sure!" He exclaimed happily. The albino added some candies and was about to add another aesthetic on the upper parts of tree when suddenly a knock was heard on agency's door.

"My second order of snacks!!" The certain detective yelled

And it caused the albino to startle and fall

"Ouch" he rubbed his head then noticed a shadow on top of him, looking up. He noticed the tree was about to fall. He couldn't be more freaked out "Th-the tree!!" He yelled, Kyoka already had a grab of it but that was not much of use "be careful!!" Kunikida yelled as he rushed to the tree, grabbing it. Ranpo seemed unfazed, probably because he knew afterwards. "Don't..let it..fall!" Kunikida said while holding it. Atsushi was clutching on the ground "it..it's all my fault" he pouted, almost crying

"Oi brat!" Kunikida yelled, Atsushi suddenly came back to his senses as he jumped and supported Kunikida "oh! I can help!" Said kenji as he slowly walked to the tree,smiling closed eyes, placing it back on its spot with one hand "done" he said smiling. The albino let out a breath of relief. "The ideal Christmas party was close to be ruined" he scoffed as he checked his beloved notebook

The door opened, revealed tanizaki and his so-called sister, holding a rather small box on his hand "Who was it, Tanizaki-kun?" Asked Kunikida "it was postman, he handed this. Said it's for Ranpo-San" hearing his name, the detective  paused in drinking his ramune "Oya, it's for Ranpo?" Said the feminine voice that belonged to the only doctor of the agency "it is a gift?" Kenji said looking a bit confused while Kunikida was standing there with raised eyebrow. Atsushi and Kyoka paused in decorating as well and looked at Tanizaki

"Who is the sender?" Asked kunikida, just in case if it wasn't a trap "I couldn't find the name of the sender, looks like whoever sent it didn't write their name on it" he said "Can you put it here, Tanizaki?" A voice said behind them and that was no other than Ranpo, making everyone turning back "yes!" The ginger haired boy walked to his desk and placed the box on the desk. Ranpo picked it up, observing it with his rather closed eyes

"Don't you want to open it, Ranpo-San?" Asked the albino. The detective already knew who the sender was as he smirked "this soon huh?" He said, Atsushi raised his brow "sure! Imma open it" he said as everyone gathered around his desk, even Kunikida joined everyone. He unwrapped it, as it revealed a clean, glassy ramune with red ribbon around it, lots of various colored marbles and pokies inside along with a small note in it.

Ranpo's emerald eyes managed to widen open at the sight. It was the most beautiful ramune he has ever seen. He admired her taste in candies and gifts, he smirked "it's beautiful, i wonder who is the sender" Yosano said in her kinda teasing tone "do you know who is the sender, Ranpo-San?" Asked kunikida. The detective looked up at him with his now closed eyes "of course i know" he was about to explain more before the realization hit the albino

"Oh right, the Christmas tree!"

After decorating the tree and getting everything done, Kunikida finally said it's ideal and let everyone to enjoy themselves. Ranpo was sitting on his desk like always, holding his new ramune, playing with it as marbles danced inside. Making "clink" sound. He then noticed the note on it, he paused in his tracks, reading it. It was written with small handwriting in it

"Have nice Christmas, Great detective"

The male remembered her teasing tones but this time. It was rather different as it made him smirk

"Nice gift, (Y/n)-Chan"
