(Y/n) was snapped out of her thoughts as she heard a crying of a child, turning around, her eyes widened in shock, and to her surprise...

That was the child who gave her candy this morning

(Y/n) couldn't believe her eyes as she just remained on her place, watching the kid as he was being dragged by the handcuff attached to her colleague's hand, trying to break free.

"Let me go-!" cried the kid, Frowning up at the policeman, pulling on the handcuffs as if it'll break and free his hand. The cop however, didn't even flinch, as if he couldn't hear the kid. The kid continued struggling to break free,

Before his eyes lay on the (h/c) haired woman cop.

Her (e/c) eyes widened as she flinched, the kid suddenly fell quite, before (Y/n) could think about the reason, the kid looked away, frowned, as he was dragged to the interrogation room.

(Y/n) blinked twice as a way to gather up her mind. She looked at the candy in her hand, then back at interrogation room, then at the candy in her hand, observing it with a frown on her face as if it was candy's fault the kid got arrested.

Wait...

She turned back to see her colleague who was coughing harshly as two other colleagues were massaging his back. "He's been coughing ever since he ate the candy" she reminded her colleague's words

Something was wrong

She rushed to the officer's office, knocking more than usual untill she heard an irritated "come in"

She opened the door, entering the office with no hesitation "sir, what's happening!?" (Y/n) asked, rushing into the office as she had a confused expression on.

Officer Minoura glanced up at the young woman with his usual frowned expression but it was clear that he was annoyed, (Y/n) could tell even the officer was sweating over it as he ruffled his hair under his hat

"You just realized?" He stated, the (h/c) haired cop frowned, she didn't like the way she was asked such question, as if she was too late to realize, it reminded her of a memory from her past she didn't want to remember. Although this time it was her fault for leaving her work mid time, she didn't want being talked like that

"What? Sir, could you explain to me what exactly happened?" She asked politely yet sternly, although her tone was a bit loud for talking to officer, she didn't mind. Officer Minoura looked at her for a moment, before sighing and reaching for his drawer "we were given reports of people getting poisoned" he searched among papers and pulled out a medium size , thick file, putting it on the table

"People getting... poisoned?" (Y/n) asked, her brows furrowed as she waited for the continuation "yeah, apparently it's been like this for a month, at first it wasn't much but...seems like more people got poisoned this time" officer Minoura added, irritated at the situation

(Y/n) picked up the files, looking through each file, there were reports of people of each location, from the location with the most poisoned people to least included location

"But... what has poisoned them??" The cop woman stressed, her voice shaked as she tried her best to not show it on her face or behavior "this" officer Minoura sighed as he pulled something out of his drawer and put it on his desk

That was a candy

"What!? This..." (Y/n)'s eyes widened, the candy was a bite on the candy "this is from one of our cops, unfortunately, he has bite it" he scoffed, (Y/n) gritted her teeth as she remembered about the candy she received from that kid

She looked through the reports to checkout the symptoms victims had "is there any antidote for it?" She glanced at officer Minoura, the middle aged man pinched his aged forehead
