Arabella's POV

September 1st, 1971

Lily's and my parents agreed that we carpooled to King's Cross Station, seeing that my dad's knowledge on how to get on the platform was going to be very useful but mostly because Lils parents were muggles and had no idea what was going on. Lily's sister Petunia said she didn't want to come, thinking this was all just some weird freak show.

"I can't believe we're  finally here, dad has told me all about Hogwarts since I was a little  girl and now it's finally my turn to experience it all," I told Lily  while we were walking side by side behind our parents

"I  know, I hope we get sorted into the same house, I heard your father  talking about there being four houses and I don't really want to be  separated from you or Sev," Lily said with worry in her tone

"Me too, but hey, if we get sorted into different houses we can still be best friends"

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Anyway, what do you think will happen in our years there?" Lily asked changing the subject

"Well I don't know but I bet that we will meet the love of our life there and make friends that last a lifetime," I said with a smile

"I'm not sure about love, I'm going purely for education and the potential new friendships we may have,"

"Yeah right, catch me telling you 'I told you so' when you meet the love of your life"

"Ara," she said with a serious look on her face

"What? I'm just stating facts, I bet we'll meet him on the train and-"

"Girls, we're here" my dad cut me off with a smile on his face

"Here? But I don't see a platform 9 3/4" I said looking at my dad trying to figure out what he meant

"I know, but if you run through this brick wall between platforms nine and ten you'll get on the platform!" he said with excitement, everyone stood there dumbfounded looking at my dad to see if he was being serious

"RUN THROUGH A BRICK WALL?! Do you want them to get a concussion, William?" mum sneered at my dad

"Yes! I promise nothings going to happen. Do you trust me?" dad said looking at Lily and me for confirmation

"I guess, but dad if I break my nose it's your fault," I said looking at my dad

"Ohh you're going to be fine, now come here," he said urging me to stand where he is, "Best do it with a little run if you're nervous," and he pushed me so I could start running. The wall was getting closer and closer and I closed my eyes bracing myself for impact but it never came. When I opened my eyes I was standing on another platform, Platform 9 3/4 to be exact. I was so amused with everything around me, especially at how magical the Hogwarts Express looked, that I didn't notice that Lily was now by my side with her parents and mum and dad following behind.

"Woooow," said Lily breaking me out of my trance

"I know, it's incredible, wait until you get to the castle grounds, now that is amazing," dad said smiling at the both of us.

"I'll miss you so much Ara, have fun for me, don't get in too much trouble please," dad said in a low voice while hugging me, Lily was also saying goodbye to her parents.

"Can't promise that," I said responding to my father's pleas of not getting in trouble

"Ara," said mum with a warning tone, "I already miss you and you're still here, I don't know what I'm going to do without you at home, well I won't miss the amount of noise you make, you play your music too loudly," she smiled at me, messing up my hair a bit.
