In the field of daisies
you stand at the center
showing a far-off look
with eyes so warm and so tenderThe sun is shing above us
yet you're the brightest thing I could see
A troubled feeling brewed within
that you'll soon be leaving meAs dusk came by
the flowers swoon in awe
They shimmer towards the heavens
but in your beauty I was drawnI wish I held you tighter
I wish I had more of you
but sparkling things don't last long
oh how I only wished I knewLike how paper burns to ashes
or how mermaids turn to foam,
like stardust you scattered away
back to your home*****
Author's note:Hey guys, happy new year! I know it's a bit late but I just wanted you to know that thank you for supporting this book even after the long hiatus I've been in.
I think is to say that 2020 has been a rough year for most of us and some may have not even moved on from the events of these past months, and I just wanted to thank you for holding on and keeping it going despite all odds.
Cheers to new hopes and beginnings and may you have a blessed year!
