False Hope

Just like any other day, the sun will shine
Wondering if this will all go just fine
Never expecting a single drop
Reminiscing from yesterday's storm that didn't stop

You were at the carnival wanted to play
Captivated at the thing near the gateway
That astonishing roller coaster you heard from town
You rode it, but never knew it will go up and then down

Suddenly, it became worse from afternoon's news
People burning a box that you can't afford to loose
You standed there, helpless, like your feet are tied with ropes
It contained things that are beyond precious to you, hope

Your mind went blank, wanting to go to sleep
Yet it desired to dig for thoughts you've burried so deep
You stare from afar, believing that there is still tomorrow
In the same time, anxious, to feel a new sorrow
