Chapter 3: Death

~ Shuichi POV ~

Today's the day.

It's time to catch the mastermind, after all we spent all yesterday cleaning the library. What if a murder doesn't occur today and we all get executed? No use thinking about that, I'm already dead set on this plan. I asked for the camera's from Miu, I should collect them soon. I can't help thinking back to what Kaede said.... "you know you'll have to be more confident when I'm not here" is she planning to murder? What if she fails? I can't let her murder anyone, I know she won't take the first blood perk. I'm probably over thinking it anyway, there's no was Kaede would murder right?

I stood up and continued with my usual morning routine. Except it was 6:00am.
I went to my closet and dressed in my usual attire, later I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, hair and washed my face. I put on my hat and shoes, then left my dorm.

"Hey, no p-please" I heard a childish whisper

"Shut up, you gremlin" I heard a slam and droplets of blood flew from behind the corner

I walked there to see someone running away and Kokichi. With blood coving his face, I couldn't see his expression but he was certainly awake and alive.

"Kokichi oh my god" I had an expression of shock and horror as I picked him up and carried him to my dorm

"Sh-shuichi?" He asked

"I'm h-here it's ok" I smiled, laying him down on my bed

"I'll be right back" I hurried to my bathroom and took the bandages out of my medical cabinet

"P-please don't h-hurt me" Kokichi cried

"No, no I'm here to help" I reassured

I bandaged up his head and other several wounds on his legs. He curled up into a ball, he was terrified and cold.

"Ugh, s-stupid" He said to himself

"Kokichi" I rubbed his back

"Shuichi, d-did you see who that was?" He asked, clearly terrified

"No" I shook my head

"That's ok" He sighed

"Are you ok?" I asked

"Do I look ok?" He countered

I sighed.

"If you want to, you can rest here" I gently patted his head

"Hey, are you seriously not gonna hurt me?" He flinched

"I'm dead serious, I'll never hurt you" I looked into his eyes

"A-alright" He seemed to relax

"Do you mind if I sleep here?" He asked

"No, you can if you want to" I smiled

"Thank you so much Shuichi" He faintly smiled back and tried to sleep

I went to my desk and worked on theories about how we ended up here.

"W-why...ow...stop i-it" I heard whispers from a terrified Kokichi

"Kokichi?" I asked, confused

"M-make it stop..." He began crying

"Kokichi, it's ok, you're ok" I comforted him

"N-no, stop it! S-stop it....stop...it" He cried. He was inconsolable, I tired shaking him awake

"Huh? Shuichi" He breathed heavily

"It's ok, that was a nightmare" I took his hand. He sat up

"I want you to promise me something" He started
