This isn't what was expected, I know. This ship is based off of characters in a game not real life. I haven't finished the games yet, but I believe I know enough to at least start this fanfiction. Let the adventures begin!

I know he will never return those feelings. He says they're "foolish."
They're not though, and he knows it.
Him and his pride... So annoying, yet so wonderful at the same time.
I can't give up. Not after everything we've been through.
I'm falling so hard for him. I've been falling for a long time.
I can't face the truth, I can't hit the ground.
He's my strength, my savior, my secret crush.

Phoenix's POV:
"Hey, look at this Phoenix!"
"Huh?"
"The Demon Prosecutor" is on the headline.
Interesting. This seems interesting even if I prefer theater myself. "A guilty verdict by all means..." Wow. My eyes scan over the name. Suddenly my heart starts to pound, and something catches in my throat. Miles Edgeworth. My good friend from grade school. One that I haven't heard from since he left in 4th grade. What happened? This isn't him, he isn't like this, a prosecutor at this level.
I have to find him.
-Present-
"Mr Nick, wake up!"
"Ugggghhhh...."
"Mr Nick, the trial is today! Wake up!"
Opening my eyes, Pearl is standing next to me shaking my arm. Glancing at the clock it says 11:30 in the morning. The trial is in an hour.
"I'm going to be late! I have to hurry, come on Pearls!"
"Coming Mr Nick!"
In about 30 minutes Pearls and I are out the door in our work clothes, with our sorted evidence, and our empty stomachs. Lunch is going to have to wait. Hey, I don't mind, but Pearls is already bugging me about getting burgers afterward. I need a bigger salary to get her burgers everyday.
