Doubt & Trust

“Tuloy ka.” Sabi sakin ni QiGong Sensei. Andito kami ngayon sa Admin office.

Pag pasok ko, nakita ko agad si Admin na naka upo sa swivel chair nya.

“Have a sit, Ms. Reuters.”

Umupo naman ako sa receivers chair sa tapat ng table nya.

“Gusto mo ba ng tsaa?”

“Ah tubig nalang po.” Somehow kinakabahan din ako sa gagawin ko.

What if pag tawanan lang nila ako?

What if hindi sila maniwala?

*gulp*

“Here.” Sabay abot sakin ng tubig ni QiGong Sensei then umupo naman sya sa harap ko.

“What is it you want us to talk about, Gaia?” –Admin

Tumingin muna ako kay QGS (QiGongSensei) bago bumaling ulit kay admin.

“It’s about the issue in Leonine.” umpisa ko.

Nangunot ang noo ni Admin after hearing it.

“What of it?” she asked.

“It was only a matter of time… Leonair in the East was the first of the four to fall; its entire student populace devoured seemingly overnight, the campus left a graveyard of memory.” Simula ko.

I know that it had caught there attention 'coz they’re seem on focus about the topic. I continued as I think back about my dream.

“Sa lahat ng nag tangkang suungin ang lugar na iyon, kaunti lamang ang nakabalik ng buhay, at ang mga iyon ay mag ku-kwento tungkol sa hindi maipaliwanag na karanasang nangyari sa kanila. Mga masasamang espiritu, mga halimaw at mga taong naging halimaw narin, na hindi kalaunan ay pupuksa sa sangkatauhan.”

Huminto ako. Siguro sapat na munang teaser iyon para sa kanila. Saka ko nalang poproblemahin yung iba pa.

After kong sabihin iyon, wala ni isa sa kanila ang umiimik. Pawang nag papakiramdaman kaming tatlo.

“3 weeks and 2 days before Im hospitalized. We –my friends and I happen to be in the SZ district two when a meteor shower occured. Somehow, it resembles the tragedy 18 years ago. And even before that I also have a quick vision of meteorites falling from the sky. It keeps on repeating whenever I sleep.”

Wala paring umiikik kaya nag patuloy ulit ako.

“Admin… tell me the truth… I have no memory on the catastrophic tragedy 16 years ago. All I know is that, this world already changed. But… I have a recollection of this place… a beautiful place. Filleds with greens, flowers etc. Now… the question is, has someone tried to alter memories of the past?” I want to be direct to them kaya wala na akong paligoy ligoy pa ng itanong ko iyon.

Nakita ko kung paano higitin ni Admin ang hininga nya. Lumingon naman ako kay QGS. Malikot ang mga mata nya.

Now my suspicions grew even more.

What are they hiding from us?

Did all our parents knows about this?

Or even worse… all the survivors’ memories of that melancholic event is changed or had been erased by someone?
