Year : 2021
"Five?"
I stood up and started running towards the noise.
But before I could see if it really was Five, I ran past a puddle and saw my reflection.
I stopped, I looked nothing like the last time I saw him.My hair was now really long when it used to be cut just below my shoulders, I was slimmer from starving over the last few years and my cloths were all ripped up and dirty, they weren't even my umbrella academy uniform either.
An idea popped into my head, not only could I shift into different animals, but I could also shift into different people or even younger versions of myself.
I tried my hardest and with a lot of work, I was able to shift into 14 year old me, with a clean uniform and cut tidy hair.
I ran off to where the sound was I could see someone in the distance, it was Five I was too far away for him to see me.
"FIVE, FIVE IT'S ME!"
He couldn't hear me, I ran as fast as I could, tears starting to form in my eyes from happiness.
"FIVE, OVER HEAR!"
I was almost to him when he looked at what I presumed was a watch on his wrist.
He looked around, but I don't think he saw me.I was almost to him.
"FIVE!"
I threw myself at him for a hug.
*ZAP*
*SMASH*I landed face first in a pile of gravel.
I groaned as I slowly pushes myself up, holding my face in my hand.
My nose was bleeding and I had a swollen lip.
I slowly stood up, trying to stable my balance."Ugh... Five, what the hell. I haven't seen you in two years and this is how you gree-"
I turned around to face Five just to find that Five wasn't there."...Five..."
I looked around, expecting him to jump out somewhere to scare me."Five, this isn't funny, come out."
I yelled.Silence.
"Five?!"
I looked around the area.He was gone.
"He didn't just-"
I realized what happened.
"No, he wouldn't-"
I fell to my knees, tears welling up in my eyes.
"He blinked away"
I broke and burst into tears on the ground.
All the emotions if been bottling up the last two year had finally overflowed and spilled out.
I couldn't believe he would do that.I looked up into the sky, still on my knees.
I screamed at the top of my lungs."FIVE COME BACK"
The last few years have been physically and mentally draining me and it's finally shown.
I was a mess.
My face was covered in blood and tears as I lay in the ground, damp from the rain."Five come back"
I repeated under my breath."P-please"
Why would he do this, give me hope just to rip it right out of my grasp the second I get a good grip.
I look up, light spilling on time my face it was almost sundown.
"Come on, y/n"
I said to myself before slapping myself in the face.
I sat up and looked at my hand, it was covered in blood from my bleeding nose.
For some reason, it made me calm.
The side if my lip twitched as I examined the blood on my hand.I looked up again.
The sun was bright, but not hot.
I stood up, cracked my neck and started walking.I grabbed an old certain lying on the ground and ripped a piece off.
I cleaned the blood off my hands and face with it and threw it on the ground beside me as I walked."This is insane"
I said to myself as I walked around pieces of wall, making my way back to the academy.I heard faint footsteps behind me and stopped to check it wasn't just my footsteps echoing in the cracked walls around me.
The footsteps didn't stop.
There was someone behind me and they were getting closer.
From the sound of they're footsteps, they weren't in a rush.
I turned around and got into my fighting stance that dad taught all of us when we first started training.
Walking towards me was a man, he looked about 50 years old.
he was wearing a black suit.
He had a black umbrella in one hand, and a black leather briefcase in the other.
I couldn't see his face under the umbrella. He stopped when I turned around and put the briefcase down beside him.
We stood in silence for what seemed like hours before he spoke.
