Clay POV:

"George! Be careful!" I shout, giggling at George tripping over his own feet. I'm not doing any better though, I've fallen over twice as many times than George. However, George doesn't listen and begins to run towards the front door to our house, stumbling over the few steps you need to get up to the porch. We've been out for the night celebrating our 1 year anniversary. I took George to a nice reserved restaurant since I know he would much prefer a more quiet place. Towards the end of the night we were starting to get a little tipsy so we decided to head home. And by a little, I mean a lot.

George falls flat on his face and I try my best to contain my laughter. "Ouchie" He says in a child-like tone, rubbing his forehead. I can't keep in my laughter anymore, I bend down and place my hands on my knees trying to control my wheezes. "Clayyy" George whines, putting both his arms in the air and making grabby hands. Once I've calmed down from laughing, wiping the dry tears from my eyes, I make my way over to George. "You idiot, I told you to be careful!" I mumbled, slurring my words. "Help me up" George groans. Reaching to take hold of his small hands and pulling him up to his feet. He stumbles slightly, falling into my chest. Instead of stepping away from me, he wraps his arms around my torso and lifts his head, staring at me with a fond, goofy smile. "Hi" He says, giggling drunkly. I roll my eyes and but I cant help but giggle with him.

"Come on Georgie, I'm coldddd" I drag out my words, leaning my forehead against his. "Carry me? I can't walk" He asks, pouting. "I'm just as drunk as you silly, if I carry you I will fall over". I let go of him for a second, reaching into my pocket to fetch our door keys. I feel around for a second, before realising they're not there. "George! The keys, they're not there anymore" I panic. However, he does nothing but laugh. "What are you-" I pause hiccuping. "-laughing at?".

George sniggers at my panicked tone. Then he reaches into his own pocket pulling out the set of house keys. "Georgeee, you scared me" I say, snatching the keys out of his hands. Once we're inside, we quickly take off our shoes and head upstairs. Of course it's a struggle but we manage it in the end. George changes out of his sweater and into one of my hoodies then putting a pair of his pajama bottoms on. While I slip a white top on and a pair of grey sweatpants. We finish upstairs and make our way back downstairs into the living room.

We sit pondering for a moment, wondering what we should do next because we don't want to go to sleep yet. "Do you want a hot drink or something Georgie?" I ask, already standing up. "Could you bring the bottle of wine in?" He says cheekily. "Don't you think we've had enough to drink for one night?" I chuckle, but still grabbing the bottle out of the cupboard as well as two wine glasses. I shuffle back over to the sofa, placing the bottle on the table. George wastes no time in pouring himself a glass, already bringing it up to his lips to take a sip. "Can you pour me one babe?" I slur out. He giggles "Sure babe" He says, mocking the nickname I gave him. He does what I ask and passes me a filled glass. "Here you go~" He sings.

About 20 minutes later, half the bottle is already gone. I watch as George goes for his 3rd glass but I stop him "George~" I hiccup "You're going to be sick in the morning, let's stop drinking for now" I say, standing up, taking a second to balance myself. My vision is slightly blurred but I still manage to take the bottle and put it on the counter in he kitchen. I come back to George playing music. He glances over to where I am and jumps to his feet, skipping over to me but failing miserably and tripping over the coffee table. Somehow, I luckily catch him before he can fall over completely. "Clay you saved me, how romantic" He jokes, pretending to swoon in my arms. I roll my eyes but I can't help and chuckle at how dumb he looks. "I guess I'm your prince, and you're my pretty princess" I tease. "You're prettier" He flirts, poking my nose "Boop" He says, smiling goofily. My eyes soften "you're such an idiot" I say fondly, helping him back to his feet for the second time this night.

The music suddenly changes to a more slower song. I bow and put my hand out "Do you want to dance with me, princess George" I say, leaning my head up to see his reaction. His cheeks flush but he nods before recomposing himself. "Of course my handsome prince" George giggles. I laugh and pull him into my chest, resting both my hands firmly on his waist, whilst he wraps his arms around my neck. We lean our foreheads against each others. We aren't exactly dancing; more slightly swaying to the soft music, but we don't care. I bend my head back to place a small kiss on his forehead. George looks up at me before standing on his tippy toes to reach my lips with his. The kiss is messy but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. George moves his right hand up and tugs at my hair, pulling me closer to him, while I rub my hands up and down his slim waist. I slowly pull away and place small, delicate kisses against his jaw before coming back to give him one more peck on the lips. I can tell the sloppy kiss made George flustered so he buries his head into my neck. Leaning my nose into his head, continuing to sway to the music with him still in my arms.

"I love you Clay" George mumbles against my neck, sending vibrations through my whole body. I shiver slightly and wrap my arms around his waist completely now, pulling him impossibly closer to me. "I love you too George, so much" I answer. The music comes to an end and we both flop down to the couch. Our feet intertwining on one end and on the other is George and I holding each other. George lets out a loud yawn, signalling he's becoming tired. "Can we just sleep here for tonight please?" He whispers. I coo at his soft tone. "Of course we can love" I say softly, writing 'I love you' with my fingers on his back. I don't know if he knows what I'm doing, but due to the cute smile he has on his face and the soft pink blush that suddenly appeared on is cheeks, I can only guess he knows.

After a few moments of silence, I decide to speak up again "Did you enjoy our anniversary Georgie?" I ask him, feeling him snuggle into my chest more. "Yes, it was perfect Clay. You're perfect" He says lovingly. I lean up to his forehead placing yet another sweet kiss against it. "I'm glad you liked it. Can you believe we've been together for a year now?" I questions. "It's crazy to think about, but yeah I can believe it. We're soulmates~" He sings. I laugh "Yeah, I guess we are" I whisper. I watch as George slowly closes his eyes and lets out a small yawn again. "Go to sleep baby, I'll be here when you wake up" I say, pecking his lips one last time before we sleep. He hums "Goodnight Clay, I love you" He mumbles, nuzzling his head into my neck. Smiling, I reach for the blanket that is hanging on the back of the sofa and draping it over us. "I love you too George, sleep well darling"
