Jihyo's POV
My heart was racing. After a month of being scared, I finally gathered enough courage to go see Tzuyu. To confront her parents and tell them how wrong they were.
But, in the back of my mind, I was terrified.
What if I was too late?
Those six words looped in my mind, pushing me to run harder and faster down the endless streets.
I pounded on Tzuyu's door.
Her mother answered.
"Absolutely not," she said, trying to close the door.
"Please, Mrs Chou!" I cried, "Give me five minutes!"
She huffed. "We don't associate with your kind. You people who choose this lifestyle."
"Please," I begged, "You don't understand."
"I understand plenty!"
"I love your daughter!" I screamed, "She is my world. Every morning I wake up and the thought of her keeps me going. You have to understand. You know what it's like to be in love."
"I-" she paused, "You aren't in love."
"You don't have to accept it," I pushed, "Ypy don't even have to understand. But please, you can't stop loving your daughter."
"I never stopped!" she said, "I just need to fix her."
"Don't you know what they do there?" I pleaded, "They won't fix Tzuyu. They'll just break her!"
