Jihyo's POV

"Hey, Hun."

I turned to see Tzuyu standing inside. She was holding a box, but quickly put it down to climb out on the roof with me. I sighed as she sat down next to me. Of course I wanted her there, but at the same time, I wanted to be alone.

"Jihyo."

I turned to her.

"What's wrong, love?"

I chuckled softly as I leaned my head on her shoulder. She grabbed my hand and leaned her head on top of mine.

"It's just," I started, "I still don't know where my parents went. And, it's not like I miss the screaming, hitting, and throwing. Of course not. But,"

I turned to look up at Tzuyu.

"I miss the way that they were. I miss the way that they used to treat me. They used to love me."

Tzuyu smiled. "I know it's hard. But, maybe one day you'll find them. They're your family."

"I don't need to find them again," I said.

The wind blew cold, causing Tzuyu to shiver. I pulled her closer to my side.

"Life is about chosen family. Sometimes, your chosen family includes your blood family," I looked up into her eyes and smiled, "and sometimes you have to go searching for it."
