Tzuyu's POV

"Oh, look, Lúlî!" Mámah said, "This one's cute!"

I didn't look. I sat on the bench a few feet away from my mother. She was getting me new church clothes. I didn't want them.

"Chou Tzuyu," she spat, "get over here."

I rolled my eyes, picking up the shoe box and walking over to Mámah. I made sure to drag my feet.

"Tzuyu," Mámah spat, "you better start behaving."

"Why?" I asked, "you're sending me away anyway, so why does it matter."

"We are doing this for you, Lúlî," she smiled, "please understand."

"I don't and I won't," I spat back. My voice tasted full of poison. I had never spoke to Mámah this way. The only person I had ever talked to this way was . . .

Jihyo.

"Try on this dress and get your act together," Mámah finally said, pushing me towards the changing rooms.

I rolled my eyes but obeyed. Anything was better than listening to Mámah's lies at this point.

I walked in the dressing room, looking at myself in the mirror. The dress would fit, but I could already tell it wouldn't look good on me.

I sighed, sitting down on the floor and praying for one last day with Jihyo.
