(FRISK POV)

I sat by Chara's bedside. Shortly after the TRAIT stabilizers were injected, Chara's vitals began to stabilize, although he wasn't doing much better than before. He looked pained. I brushed my hand on his arm. His cuts and scabs were finally healing into scars. Alphys was shuffling around, looking from monitor to monitor.
     "...Alphys."
     "Y-Yes?"
"Earlier, Diitii Fox called you Liar." She froze up. "He called me Archer, and he called sans Judge. I know why he called us that... so why did he call you Liar?"
"I-I..." Alphys turned away from me. "I c-can't really t-tell you that..." she walked out of the room.
Chara was on the brink of death for 5 hours... Liar. What does it mean?

. . .

(FRISK POV)

"Wha- Yeah, of course." Chara pulled me into tight embrace. Her breaths were slightly shaken, as if she was trying not to cry. "Are you okay, Chara?" She held me even tighter for a brief moment before letting go and rubbing her eyes.
"Y-Yeah. I just... Really need that."
"Why, is something wrong?"
"Nah, I just wanted a hug! Ehehe..." Her smile was genuine, but she looked drained. Her face was pale and she had bags under her eyes. I put my hand on the side of her face.
"Chara," She waved it off.
"I-I'm just tired, I swear."
"You look exhausted. What happened?"
"I was messing around with magic, and used up a lot of energy." Undyne chimed in.
"Oh yeah? What do your bullets look like?" I tilted my head slightly.
     "Bullets?"
"Yeah. The forms magic takes in its most natural state are called bullets. Every monster has unique bullets, although those of Royal heritage usually have similar bullets."
"Oh, yeah I can make these." Chara closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, 10 or so red sparkles blipped in the air around her. She winced when they appeared. She opened her eyes carefully. I opened my eyes to take in the beauty of each.
"They're so pretty~" Chara's face was as bright red as her magic as she shook her head.
     "W-What!? N-No digas cosas así..."
"What? I was just complimenting your magic." Chara grabbed her other arm, face still flushed.
"S-Still." Undyne chuckled at the two of us.
"Monsters are made of magic, and so are their SOULs, telling a monster you think their magic looks good is the same as complimenting their body." Chara looked away.
"Being a monster is so different than being a human, now I have to worry about my magic?" Undyne shrugged.
"Can you do anything with them?" I asked. Chara nodded.
"I can make them like, move around and stuff." Chara was short of breath but after a few seconds of concentration, she made the sparks orbit around her head almost like a crown. I reached out to one. "D-Don't touch them!! They uh, they hurt. A lot."
"...How would you know?" Chara made them disappear. She exhaled a sigh of relief.
     "...Trial and error?"
"Hmm." She sat down in the chair and opened a water bottle.
"Did I interrupt you two? Please, continue." Undyne looked at me with a gleam in her eye.

After a while, Undyne deemed us 'Combat ready' and told us that we should head towards the next town over to get some sleep, as Waterfall city isn't safe. She gave us a map before heading back to catch up on some history class. I guess she's seeking higher education or something.

. . .

(CHARA POV)[M]

"I still can't believe we got lost." Frisk rolled the map back up.
"It'll be fine! It's fine! Everything's fine! I'm sure the map said something about... Mushrooms." Small mushrooms dotted the area in the dimly lit series of rooms we found ourselves in.
"If these rooms contain nothing interesting except fungi, wouldn't that make them mushrooms?"
"...sans is rubbing off on you and I'm not sure how I feel about it." Like it or not, she was smiling.
"Speaking of which, what's even up with these?" I poked one of the blue mushrooms on the ground. When I touched it, it lit up a soft blue glow. "Woah..." A trail of blue grass lit up all the way to another mushroom.
"I guess this is what we're doing." We walked from mushroom to mushroom until the next path led us to a solid wall. "What do you mean? We did all this work for nothing?"
"Well it seems our endeavors have hit a wall."
"Alright, that was admittedly clever." Frisk said through clenched teeth. From below us, we heard a deep, gruff voice.
"Hey, y'all coming 'ere to cause trouble?" It was a mushroom with eyes and a spear. He appeared to be guarding this part of the wall.
"W-What?! No, we just want to look around." The mushroom peered at Frisk before tipping his cap and allowing us passage.
     "...Carry on."
"I think he wants us to walk through the wall." I whispered to Frisk.
"Well, it wouldn't be the first time the laws of physics didn't apply to us." We walked into the wall.
