Densi - Baby Blye Deeks

Chapter 9: News

The day was over. Kensi and Nell walked in the building and Sam and Callen were sat at their desks. Kensi walked over to hers, and realised all of Deeks' stuff had gone.

K: "where's all Deeks' stuff gone?"
C: "I have no idea"
S: "maybe he's just feeling... tidy"
K: "wouldn't surprise me. He's been keeping the house clean aswell"
Eric and Deeks came down the stairs.
S: "so who's buying drinks tonight!?"
D: "errrh I'm good, I might just go home"
C: "why what's up? Someone a party pooper"
D: "nooo no I'm just tired. I might go Home and watch Batman. That's a good film you know, have you guys-"
*Callen and Sam in sync* "SEEN IT"
D: "alrighty then"

C: "Kens?"
K: "nah, I'm just gonna go home, have a bath and eat some rocky road"
C: "both of you!? I think I know what you guys are gonna do!"
K: "wo ho hoahhh says the one who spent literally all of yesterday with Anna because you called in sick!"
C: "wait what!? Who told you!?"
*sam trying not to laugh while Deeks eric and Nell are smirking*
S: "don't look at me G, you said it first"
C: "okay, now I'm not buying drinks!!"
N: "it's on me, I'll pay. Cmon guys!"

Eric, Nell, Sam and Callen leave ops while Kensi and Deeks stay behind.
*at the same time*
"Well I-"
K: "you- you go first"
D: "oh uhh yeah.... I... *muffles his hair* I don't really know how to say this but, I've been recalled"
K: "what!?"
D: "the uhhh LAPD to NCIS Liason position is being- terminated, permanently"
K: "oh my gosh.... wait so has Hetty tried to get you back or..."
D: "she's tried and so has Granger. I'm still here but I don't have my badge or gun anymore so I'll be in ops for the time being, until I get my pay check."

Kensi begins to look worried as there's only one pay check to be coming in each month, and she knows it won't be enough to pay bills and spend on something else. She begins to tear up.

D: "hey, hey no tears, look I thought I'd be crying already. I mean I was but look at this *points at his face* adorable venire, you can't go wrong with this huh"
K: *smiles slightly*
D: "there we have it, what's going on"
K: "I uhh *wiping tears* got a uh call earlier while I was out"
D: "okay and..."
K: "it was the hospital"
D: *slightly concerned* "everything's okay right?"
K: "I'm pregnant"

Deeks is shocked at what he just heard.

D: "I - I'm sorry I - Y- You're pregnant!?"
K: *bows head* "the uh... the blood test came back and there's no infections from where Kessler cut me or anything, but it came back as a positive pregnancy"
D: "but I thought-"
K: "-so did I"

Deeks goes over to Kensi, they are crying in each others arms. Deeks whispers in Kensi's ear: "we're having a baby".

"Yeah" Kensi whispers back, smiling.

Hetty and Granger are at Hettys desk and stand up to go home.
G: "seems like you both need some rest"
Kensi and Deeks break out of each others arms wiping their tears.
K: "hah, yeah just had a uhh... a pretty emotional day"
H: "you should both take a day off tomorrow, I'll get Anna to work and I'll put nell in the field"
K: "no, Hetty you don't have to do that-"
G: "- it's for your own safety"
K: "I- what!?"
H: "congratulations. And good night"

Hetty and Granger both walk off and Kensi and Deeks start laughing, pick up their bags and go home. What a long day.
