I am me
and you are you
we say,
but we know
it's not true

How could it be
knowing
when I am blue
I tell you
and suddenly you are, too?

It's not possible
when we sing the same tune
at the same time
more than once a blue moon

How could I be me
and you be just you
when you feel the same,
the same as I do?

Yes, how is it divisible
and this odd two
when your mind thinks of me
long as mine thinks of you?

You're part of me
and I'm part of you
and together we're us
and together we're true.
