alcohol is oxygen,
cigarettes like your paper-pen,
tiny pills gulped down like water,
of course, the world gets hotter.

dwindling eyes and paper skin,
can't live without your nitrogen,
escape to the belly of the beast
and on your soul he'll feast.

babyproof all that we can
heavier made's a futile ban
blood spatters not to our eye
find soul that wants to cry.

the world tilts not but rounds and bends
yourself you abandon yet defend
what do you hope to ever gain,
crippling what does remain?

freedom will never be just free
you have to pay with loyalty
and it seems you're running far behind
what sorts you to that kind.

the walk of pain is cold, I know
no flower there will ever grow
but if pain kills, we'd all be dead
so again wake in your bed.

my young eyes waver to your sight
and wonder where gone has your might
but the only one who'll cut straight through,

the only one ends up as you.
