Mal was just sitting there not paying much attention to what was going on around her. Everything was different here but she liked it. She wasn't being pressured to be someone that she was not. She missed Auradon but not the stress that came with it.
Skye bolted in the her bedroom. Mal flinched.
" I have an idea " She smirked
Mal knew that look. Evie would've gave her that look before saying something she knew Mal would oppose to.
" We obviously have just met and we are housemates now but I think we should go somewhere and I can introduce you to my friends and we can get to know each other " Skye suggested
" That sounds great " Mal smiled " Where to? "
" It's a surprise. Get ready and at six of clock. We'll head off " Skye said
Mal didn't know what to expect but part of her was excited another part of her was nervous.
Hours passed and it was time for the two to head off for their night out.

It was weird wearing something not made by Evie or wearing something not purple. It felt unusual but it was something she would have to get used to. She didn't want to risk anyone recognising her so all the amazing and beautiful outfits Evie had made her were left behind in Auradon and she had to buy new outfits from a store in the new town where she was living now.
Skye took Mal to a karaoke club. James was there. Mal didn't want to see him. He liked her but she didn't want to betray Ben. Even if she had broke up with him in her letter to him. Mal didn't know how she felt towards James but she didn't want to see him as more than a friend.
" Hey Malia " He said
" Hi " Mal replied reluctantly
" Want to sing something? " He offered
Mal hesitated
" She would love to " Skye interrupted
Mal turned around and glanced at Skye. Skye seemed to want them to be together. Mal sighed.
Mal had never sung in front of anyone before. She was nervous. Well, that was an understatement.

Skye took Mal away from James.
" Girl, you can really sing " Skye said surprised
" That felt amazing " Mal smiled
" He's fallen hard for you " Skye added
" I feel bad "
" You don't like him? At all? "
Mal opened her mouth to answer but was interrupted.
The manager of the karaoke club came over and offered Mal a job as a singer in the club every weekend. She gladly accepted. She needed a way to make money and now she had it. This was it. This was the beginning of her to achieve something big. Who knows maybe this could lead into something bigger than just a weekend singer at a club? For the first she could be something bigger than just the King's ex girlfriend.....
