You pressed your ear against the floorboard, listening closely to see if Toriel had gone downstairs again tonight to see the monster behind the door.
"Is she there?" Frisk asked. You shook your head and stood up. "No, I think it should be alright to leave tonight." You said. "But as we discussed, before we leave, we need to take some supplies. We'll take some of the spare clothes and some of the food from the kitchen and exit through the door downstairs. But we'll have to be quick." Frisk nodded confidently.
You walked over to the corner of the room where two multicoloured backpacks with beautifully coloured patterns that were printed all over the compartments sat collecting dust and picked them up. Frisk walked over to the closet and swung open the doors and carefully picked out the green and yellow sweaters. They looked like children's clothes, but they were too big to be for children. Several tears and stains covered the soft sweaters, but they would be able to keep you both warm.
You passed one over to Frisk and swung the other one over your shoulder. Frisk neatly folded the clothing and placed them in her backpack. Flowey looked around the room nervously as if he were making sure we weren't forgetting or missing anything. You took a deep breath. This was it. "You ready Frisk?" You asked. Frisk was hunched over on the bed, a pen in hand and a piece of paper in the other. Flowey leaned over to look at the paper in Frisk's hand, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Almost, just need to finish writing this." You groaned quietly.
"Frisk - she doesn't deserve it. She was only 'kind' to us because she clearly is unwell. Besides, if you weren't here, she would make some sort of fucked up pie using my blood as an ingredient." Frisk rolled her eyes and continued writing.
After a few minutes, she stood up, brushing the dust that had gotten on her sweater. "Alright, now we can go." Frisk said.
You nodded. Finally, you could leave this wretched house. This wretched woman.
You carefully unlocked the door, slowly releasing the key and opened the door. Once again, the hallway was pitch black except for the dimly lit candle that illuminated the corridor. You tip toed out into the hallway, Flowey and Frisk close behind you.
A couple of times, you or Frisk misplaced your feet and it would create creeks in the floorboard, or Frisk accidentally dropped Flowey's shoe. However, it didn't seem to wake the goat, to your relief. You assumed that she was a deep sleeper. As you tip toed to the kitchen, your mind wandered. Toriel's house appeared more spooky and eerily in the dark.
The fireplace still emitting light and heat, the table stained with monster blood and dust. You shuddered - how was she able to murder a monster just for the sake of an ingredient? Would it be classified cannibalisim?
"Psst, (Y/n)..! Oi, focus!" Frisk snapped in a hushed tone. You mouthed an apology and looked in front of you. You weren't sure what food Toriel had, and you hoped that it had nothing to do with blood or dust. Frisk placed Flowey on the table and opened the fridge to find a few chocolate bars and slices of pie - with no blood or dust - in containers.
They picked up the bars of chocolate and a few slices of pie and handed them to you. But you hesitated when Frisk handed you the container with the pie inside.
"Absolutely not." You said. Frisk frowned. "What? Why not?" They asked. You glared at her. "She made pie with monster dust and blood. Check to see if the same contents are inside." You huffed. Frisk carefully took off the lid and sniffed. "It smells fine to me. It smells of.. (BS-C (Butterscotch or Cinnamon))." You looked at the slices. As well as they looked edible, they actually looked tasty. Mouth watering. You sighed and put the lid of the container back on and placed it in your bag.
