Off to San Francisco

*meanwhile with Tom, Sonic and Y/N

Tom- alright pal, you need to start talking right now. Who are you, what are you

Sonic- I'm a hedgehog, I feel like that's obvious

Y/N- wasn't really to me at first

Sonic- and I'm in big trouble

Tom- you're in big trouble, you're not the one who punched some sort of government weirdo back there

Sonic- you think you have problems, I lost my rings

Tom- rings, what are you talking about

Sonic- rings are how all advanced cultures travel between worlds...and no mine are on top of a pointy building I've only ever seen on your skin tight t-shirt. So I'd like you to take me to San Francisco so I can get back my rings and use them to go to the mushroom planet

Tom- mushroom planet

Y/N- is that like a planet filled only with mushrooms

Sonic- yes

Tom pulls his car over on the side of the road

Y/N- why did you pull over

Tom- ok pal out you go

Sonic- I'm sorry what

Tom- this is the worst possible time for me to get myself into trouble okay. You asked me to save your life, I saved your life. Now please go find your rings and your mushroom land and hopefully I'm gonna wake up in a hospital bed and the doctor's gonna tell me that my colonoscopy was a big success

Y/N- *annoyed* oh my gosh dad

Sonic- ok goodbye *stands still*

Tom- why aren't you leaving

Sonic- I don't know where San Francisco is

Tom- west, straight shot, can't miss it

Sonic- that's cool, I'm totally cool saying goodbye now

He runs off and comes back a few seconds later soaking wet with a fish on his head

Y/N- and he's back

Sonic- so as I crashed into the cold dark water of the Pacific, I realized a few things. A, I have no idea where I'm going. B, salt water stings. C, I shouldn't even be on this planet right now but I am. Why, because you shot me

Tom- I know

Sonic- you shot me!

Tom- alright I heard you the first time, you don't have to pile it on

Sonic- I'm wet, I'm cold, THERE'S A FISH ON MY HEAD! And clearly I'm not gonna be able to do this on my own

Y/N- please dad, you said that you wanted to save lives so this is your chance. We can't just leave him alone

Tom- alright get in the truck

Sonic- really, you're gonna help me

Y/N couldn't help but giggle as Sonic shook out his fur and it puffed out

Tom- I guess it is a little bit my fault that all this is happening to you

Sonic- not a little bit, entirely. It is entirely your fault

Tom- it's entirely my fault, are you coming

Sonic- yes. Road trip, whoo!

Tom- what am I doing

Y/N- you're saving a life, that's what you're doing

Tom- *drives off* there's gonna be rules on this trip. Number one, do exactly as I say all the time, got it

Sonic- got it donut lord

Tom- stop with the donut lord, I have a name, it's Tom

Sonic- I'm Sonic

Y/N- and I'm Y/N

Tom- so you've been spying on us all for years

Sonic- I mean I wouldn't call it spying, we were all just hanging out only I wasn't invited and no one knew I was there

Tom- I can't believe crazy Carl was right all this time

Sonic- sometimes I can even hear Y/N singing along to her music and my heart just races when I hear her voice

Y/N- *blushes* wow....didn't know you liked my singing so much. Is that how you gave me the nickname music girl

Sonic- that and you enjoy everything about music

Y/N- makes me feel like I have a fan

Sonic- oh my god, stop the car right now

Tom- what what

Sonic- the world's largest rubber band ball, we gotta see it!

Tom- no this is not some fun family road trip okay, the government wants dissect you and arrest me. I have no idea what's gonna happen to Y/N, this is serious

He rushes off, grabbing a few rubber band balls and some other things

Sonic- eh you were right, it was lame. Gift shop was cool though, I got you a mouse pad

Y/N- wait did you steal them

Sonic- no I definitely paid for them, I even got something for you Y/N *gives her a ukulele*

Y/N- aww, that was so nice of you

Sonic- now you can play music if you get bored and I can listen to that angelic voice of yours

Y/N- *blushes again* (why do I have the feeling he likes me)

Sonic- when are we gonna get there

Tom- we'll get there when we get there

Y/N decided to play her ukulele during the ride, much to Sonic's amusement
