Everyone made their way to the dining hall, we all were sweaty and exhausted from todays training.
"Arai beat you to the bread" Jean smirked
Without wasting a second, I quickly ran
We raced towards the bread
I grabbed the last one, fighting Jean for it as he tried to snatch it away from me.
"Loser" I smirked as I bit my bread
It's been two months since the female titan incident, I learned to tell myself I wasn't at fault.
Ever since that I'd trained even harder, No distractions.
Including Captain Levi,my biggest distraction yet.
We hadn't properly talked since that day, only responding to his commands.
But it hadn't bothered me, I learned to grow strong , causing me to be moved to Commander Erwin's squad, I was truly succeeding.
I was now part of the strongest squad, Everything I had worked my ass off for was finally worth it, I'd been working harder everyday, no breaks, no messing around. I made sure my work paid off.
"Jeez Arai, feels like it's been a minute since we had some time" Jean nervously laughed
It was true, as much as I was happy in my new squad and being as stronger than ever, I had grown away from the scouts, my friends.
Only being able to really speak to them during breakfast , lunch, and dinner, other than that I had always been busy. I was one of Commander Erwin's strongest scout, causing me to be by his side most of the time, but I didn't complain, I was happy.
"Yeah sorry, I've been really just training" I laugh as I scratched my head.
I sat down by Connie and Armin, as I had always done.
"Wow I haven't noticed how much in shape you are!" Armin analyzed my body
They all looked up and down at my body, I became very toned, having more abs than anyone in this table. I got embarrassed at all their stares.
"Yeah no ones gonna wanna mess with you" Connie snickered
"You could beat anyones ass" Historia giggled
"Not mine though" Ymir smirked at Historia
"Maybe you'll beat Levi now" Sasha bit into her potato as she laughed
The whole table laughed along as well, I just nervously smiled
I hadn't thought about the Captain for a while, he wasn't a major person in my life anymore.
"Ask for a rematch, even though I'd doubt he'll beat up his own girlfriend" Jean laughed
I didn't tell them how Me and Levi stopped whatever we had. I never got the chance too.
"Uhm, yeah... we don't actually talk anymore" I nervously laughed, trying to play it off.
They were all taken back, shocked at what I had just said.
"SINCE WHEN" Historia screamed as she scooted closer to our table
"Yeah how come we never knew!"
"what happened?"
"are you okay?" Mikasa leaned in, brushing off everyone else.
"Yeah I'm fine, I haven't thought about him ever since. I've been busy with the commander everyday" I smiled at them
it kind of hurt me , talking about Levi.
They stayed silent, waiting for someone to speak up.
"Beat his ass!" Connie smirked as he pretended to fight the air.
"Yeah! you show him!" Historia giggled
"you can definitely beat him now" Jean patted my head
"Do it Arai!" Armin latched onto my arm
I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.
"He didn't do anything wrong, we just ... didn't work"
"I don't care! I wanna see a fight" Sasha yelled as food spat out her mouth
We all immediately lean away from her
"Hey captain!" Eren yelled
Uh oh.
Levi looked up, along with Erwin and Hange.
"Arai said she wants a rematch!" Jean yelled back
"WHA-"
Armin covered my mouth.
Since when did this little blonde boy get strong?
Levi turned his attention to me, we made eye contact.
"tch." He looked away , grabbing his cup of hot tea.
"Awe come on! is little Levi scared of losing now" Hange teased him
He rolled his eyes
"as if. I don't find it exciting to beat up scouts" He said with no emotion
"She'll definitely beat you up this time" Sasha yelled
"Agreed." Erwin smirked
"oi, you too?" Levi looked to the commander, rolling his eyes at him
"Come on old man!" Connie yelled
"whatever."
They all began to cheer
They agreed on after lunch was over, which was in... 15 MINUTES!?!
"I hate you guys so much" I slapped Armin's hand off my mouth
"Better not eat to much, you don't want to throw up" Sasha smirked as she took my bread
"Be careful Arai, he probably won't hold back this time" Mikasa glared at him.
"Even I wouldn't mess with him" Ymir spoke up
I wasn't nervous
I had a lot of faith in myself. A little evil man didn't scare me anymore
Nothing did.
