Middle of the night, Namjoon suddenly got a knock at his bedroom door.

He immediately lifted his head up, sitting up and gotten a grip from under his pillow.
His vision cleared. "Eun?" He tiredly spoke, moving his hand away from the pillow. "Why're you awake?"

"I-I couldn't sleep." Eun quietly spoke, closing the door behind him.

"Oh." Namjoon slicked his hair back.

"C-Can I sleep with you?"

"Uh. Just a second. Turn around."

Eun nodded and faced the door as Namjoon lifted his pillow and grabbed the pistol from under it, lifting the mattress up and put the gun in under there, sighing in relief that he didn't pull out the gun and aim it at the poor boy.

"You're fine now." Namjoon lied back down on the bed, Eun turning back around.

"Do you sleep alone?" Eun asked, walking up to the older, climbing on the bed beside him.

"Mhm." Namjoon faced away from the child.

"Your bed is comfortable. No wonder you sleep alone. You want the bed to yourself." Eun bounced on the bed a bit, giggling.

Namjoon just closed his eyes, getting comfortable on his side. This kid is still going to be the death of me. He thought. Eun just lies down on the bed and got comfortable in his spot. Eun lied down on his side too, facing the older male's back.

"Good night Appa."

Namjoon fluttered his eyes open. Appa? He lifted his head up and turned around, looking at the boy. He..he called me Appa. Like..father Appa. Namjoon curled his brows, fluttering his eyes and slowly lied back down.

Namjoon closed his eyes tight, gulping hard. Don't don't don't don't. Hold it hold it hold it hold it. He felt tears in his eyes. Namjoon shakily sighed, tears leaving his eyes with him quickly wiping them away. Fuck. Namjoon sat up and got up from the bed, wiping his eyes and walking towards the closet. He opened the door and closed it, slowly sitting down on the floor.

Namjoon forgot to sleep.

"Is everything okay?" Jeongguk couldn't help to ask, noticing the older wasn't standing still.

"Everything's fine." Namjoon spoke, trying to keep still.

Jeongguk curled his brows, stayed looking at the older. He knew something was off. Namjoon had bags under his eyes, he couldn't stand still like his usual, and he kept fluttering his eyes... He for sure didn't sleep last night. At all.

"Kim." The officer faced him. "If you need some rest, I can ta—"

"I'm fine. Do your job." Namjoon interrupted, starting to walk forward.

Jeongguk's brows stayed curled, starting to walk with him. He just tried to clear his mind about worrying for him and keep this job professionally. Jeongguk puts his hand on his gun, walking with Namjoon in the back to keep an eye of their surroundings. Namjoon suddenly stopped his steps, making Jeongguk stop too.

"Is everything alright?"

Namjoon's head lowered, starting to slowly lose his balance and falling—

"Hyung!" Jeongguk immediately ran towards him and caught him just in time, slowly going down to the floor on his knees. "Hyung-ah." The officer slightly shook him. "Hyung, wake up."

Namjoon completely passed out, completely numb and not moving a single muscle that he has. Jeongguk kept holding onto him, yelling at the people surrounded by them to call 112.
He looked back down at the older, slowly lifting his hand up to the side of his face, hovering. Forgive me. Jeongguk placed his hand on the side of his face, caressing his cheekbone.

"Namjoon... C'mon. Wake up."

"He'll be okay. All he had was lack of sleep and not having enough food in his system. He's not connected to anything so you can take him home once he wakes up. You're able to keep him here if he lies to you or anything else."

"Thank you, sir." Geongmin bowed, turning around to open the door and close it behind her, the doctor leaving. "Jeon?"

Jeongguk didn't listen. He stared down at the older male on the hospital bed, sitting down on the chair in front of the bed. Namjoon was facing the wall, holding the pillow instead of using it for his head. He was almost curled into a ball, sleeping comfortably.

"I told him."

Geongmin curled her brows, walking over to the male and placing her hand on his shoulder. "Told him what?"

"I told him if he needed some rest..but he said he was fine. He had bags under his eyes..he couldn't even stay still..I told him." Jeongguk lowered his head.

"It's not your fault, Jeon. This is his second time passing out like this. It's okay."

"I caught him." Jeongguk looked down at his hands, brows curled. "I held him like I lost him."

"Jeongguk." Geongmin went up in front of him, squatting down. He made eye contact with her. "He just didn't have enough sleep and lost of appetite. Nothing bad happened. He's okay."

"He's okay?" His brows stayed curled.

Geongmin softly nodded, rubbing his arm. "He is."
