What is an evangelist?:
An Evangelist is someone who wants's to convert others to Christianity.
What is evangelism?:
Evangelism is spreading the gospel by preaching or witnessing to others.
Why is Evangelising important?:
Jesus Christ commanded us to spread the gospel.
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Most of us understand that life is very valuable. As Christians, we know that Jesus is the only way to heaven. It is our obligation to make it known to others because if we truly believe in God, we understand the consequences of not spreading the gospel. Someone may never get to know God and will perish. This is why evangelism is a very high priority.
