「 two ; girls & fashion。 」━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ONE MORE CLASS BEFORE jaemin is finally free. jaemin lets out a sigh before he enters the class. his eyes immediately darted to his seat to check if it's occupied; but instead he was blinded by the "girl in front of his seat's" clothing.

it was too sparkly— and jaemin didn't like it. the thought of her sitting in front of him ticks him off more. how could he possibly pay attention if the girl is wearing all sparkly apparel from head to toe.

since jaemin could never talk about his complains to the girl, he simply lets it go and tries to bear with it. hopefully tomorrow she won't wear that. "girls and their taste of fashion these days." jaemin shook his head in disappointment before he made a beeline to his seat.

pulling his chair out, jaemin sat and settled down. his eyes naturally wondered to the girl in front of him. he couldn't express how much he hated what she wore. yeah he's just looking, but her clothes are just so— blinding.

without even realizing, the professor came in the class while jaemin was in a daze staring at the girl in front of him. after staring at her for so long, jaemin realized that her clothing wasn't blinding. she just had fireflies all over her.

"hey jaemin," at the mention of his name, jaemin was pulled out of his trance only to quirk a brow at the girl in front of him who was calling him. his brows slowly knitted together as he started to wonder how she knew his name.

you see, jaemin isn't much of a socializer. he never spoke to anyone ever since the first day. the professors call him as "na" or "mr. na" and soon, his classmates called him that. hence why he had the nickname "nana".

jaemin was kinda sure that everyone knew his name; but no one called him that because everyone called him nana. in short; hearing his classmates address him as jaemin was weird to him.

when the girl realized that jaemin was only staring at her, probably waiting for her to say something, she continued; "can i borrow a pen again?"

jaemin snapped back to reality and couldn't help but question why she said "again". "did she borrow a pen from me already?" jaemin thought and tried to rack his brain for an answer as he grabbed a pen; but then gave up.

"here you go," jaemin handed her the pen before she gave him a small smile and faced front.

jaemin rubbed his temples soothingly, hoping that he could focus on his professor instead of zoning out. jaemin started scribbling down notes on his paper as his eyes were fixed towards his professor-- or at least, that's what he thought.

jaemin was looking in the professor's direction but his full attention was on the girl in front of him. and the notes he was scribbling? he was actually sketching the girl. jaemin looks down on his notebook to take a look at his "notes" but when he does, his eyes widen.

he drops his pen and holds out his notebook with two hands. awestruck, jaemin utters,"what the—"

before he could even finish his sentence, at the corner of his eyes, he saw the girl in front of him raise a hand. it appears that the professor asked a question, however the girl in front of jaemin was the only one who had their hand raised.

if jaemin paid attention and knew the question, he wouldn't have answered it nonetheless. "does no one know?" jaemin shot his head up to his professor with his brows furrowed.

"does he not see her raising her hand?" jaemin asked himself. he was about to point out the girl in front of him, but his professor got impatient and answered the question himself.

jaemin couldn't help but wonder why the professor didn't call her. it was simply impossible if the professor didn't see her— heck, she was glowing for the love of god.

for the peace of jaemin's curiosity, he simply thought the professor's eyesight was really bad. his professor was quite old, so that kinda explains why. "that's it for today..."

eyes wide, jaemin snapped his head at the professor who was gathering his stuff from his table. jaemin's jaw dropped as he realized he zoned out the whole class because of this girl in front of him.

"stupid firefly girl." jaemin mutters before shoving his belongings in his bag.

"hey," jaemin lifted his head and met the gaze of the "firefly girl". she holds out jaemin's pen for him to take as she smiles. "thanks again for the pen."

jaemin takes the pen from her and gives her a nod. "no problem..." jaemin mutters before shoving the pen in his bag.

"i'm hwayoung..." jaemin shifts his gaze from his bag to her hand extending to him. jaemin didn't know why but her name seemed awfully familiar. his head was already excruciating from trying to remember where he knew that name, but simply lets it go for the sake of his sanity.

"nice to meet you." jaemin gave her a small nod and ended their conversation by walking away. without looking back, jaemin went straight to the door.

once he stepped foot outside the room, her name and simply her very existence was wiped away from his mind. jaemin went about his day once again, without realizing he lost another fragment of his memory.
