We were now back at the old castle.

Eren was laying in his bed, I sat on the side of it.

Jean, armin, and mikasa were with us.

Eren was staring out the window.

"Hey." Mikasa said to him.

He looked at her.

"You feel okay?" she then asked.

He sat up on his bed.

"Yeah, in fact it's weird how okay I feel. So is Annie still stuck in that thing?" He asked.

I nodded at him.

"Yeah, you'd think after, all we sacrificed to get her back fait would cut us a little slack." Jean said.

"It's humbling, knowing how far she'll go to keep her secrets." Armin said.

"Humbling, more like infuriating." Jean then said.

"Why'd you let her go Eren?" Armin asked.

I also wanted to know.

Eren looked at him.

"You did, didn't you. You gave her an out."

"I know, I didn't mean too, I just couldn't help it. When I saw her face I just froze."

Before I could hear the rest.

"Armin arlert, and jean kirstein, you two are up first." A military policeman said.

"Yes sir." Armin said.

"Debriefing time." Jean said.

"See ya later I guess."

"Sure." Eren said.

Eren looked in deep thought.

The two left the room.

And there was only me, eren, and mikasa.

Mikasa soon left the room.

"Honestly, it felt kind of good. Just letting go, my body my mind. Everything. For a minute it was, almost like I wanted to die." He was saying to me.

I whacked him across the head.

"Don't worry, I'm better now." He then said.

I felt myself trembling.

I felt tears threatening my eyes.

I held his hand, and held my head down.

"I'm glad. I'm glad your back." I cried.

Soon some people came in and they gave eren a plate of food.

He held the bread in his hand.

"Go on." I mumbled.

"You know it wasn't too long ago, that we had to share just a slice of bread." He said.

I nodded.

What was he trying to say.

He grabbed my hand again.

He placed the bread in my hand.

"Eat it." He said.

I shook my head and gave it back to him.

"Eat it." He repeated.

"No! It's yours I don't want it." I said.

Soon he started gobbling down all the food on his plate.

After he finished.

He kissed the top of my head.

I blushed.

He smiled.

Later that day eren needed more rest, so I left him in his room to sleep.

I took the tray out from his room.

But before I done anything.

I put his key back around his neck.

That's where it truly belongs.
