When they got home jay helped Abbie onto the couch, he stayed for a while to make sure they were both okay. "You need anything?" He said while getting up, Abbie squinted and nodded, "can you get me an ice pack please?" She smiled at him. Tyler was sat on the floor below her, he was being clingy ever since she got took away from him. Jay smiled back and nodded, he walked over to the freezer and got out an ice pack. He dropped it to the floor and crushed it before walking back over to her and handing her it, she smiled at him, "thanks" she said as she took it from his hands and placed it on her abdomen. Jay watched her sort herself out, "I gotta get back to work but you text or call me if you need anything okay? Either of you" he said while a smile. They both nodded and smiled at him as jay left them alone.

"Hey, how is she?" Hank said as jay walked into the bullpen. Jay smiled, "she's resting up, Will said she's gonna be out of work for a week" he sighed. They all nodded and sat back down to get on with work. Alex had been arrested and so had his like colleagues, the drug cartel had been shut down and the case was over, the guys would be doing life in prison since hank doesn't mess around when it comes to his detectives.

Abbie fell asleep on the couch and Tyler was sat playing video games, she woke up feeling panicked. Tyler looked back to her in worry, "everything okay?" He said while putting his controller down slightly. Abbie smiled and nodded then fell back asleep, it was just a nightmare. She was asleep for around 20 minutes and then she woke up with a small cry, Tyler jumped up and ran to her side, "abs?" He said as she sat up. Abbie smiled and grabbed his head since his eyes were full of concern, "I'm okay, im okay" she lied, whenever she closed her eyes all of the memories and feelings came flooding back. Tyler didn't believe her but he smiled and left her to sleep again. It was around 5pm and Abbie had been asleep for a few hours, Tyler was still playing fifa. She started squirming around in her sleep and Tyler walked over to her slowly, "Abbie?" He said worriedly, she jumped up slightly and grabbed her side in pain. "I'm fine" she lied again. Tyler stood looking at her like she had 6 heads, he sighed and walked away while keeping an eye on her.

He couldn't help but worry about her so he grabbed his phone and changed the tv over to Netflix since Abbie was awake now, he sat down on the couch next to his sister and opened up jays contact.
Tyler: "hey jay"
Jay: "hey bud, everything okay?"
Tyler: "I don't know, she's been asleep three times but she keeps waking up. Looks like she's having bad dreams or something, I don't know what's going on with her"
Jay: "I'll come by after work, just keep an eye on her"
Tyler: "thanks jay"

Jay put his phone down and rubbed his face, hailey noticed and questioned him, "all good?" She smiled. Jay nodded his head weakly, "yeah, that was Tyler. Looks like the flashbacks have started..." he smiled sadly. Hailey frowned and nodded understandingly. "Alright head out guys" hank said with a smile. The team packed up their stuff and headed out. Jay drove to abbies house and got out of his car to walk over to the door. He knocked on the door and Tyler jumped up to let him in, Abbie turned her head and saw jay walking in. "Hey jay?" She said in confusion since she didn't call or text him. "I texted him, you're scaring me" Tyler said while standing next to jay. Abbie sighed, "it's just nightmares ty, I'm sure it's nothing" she smiled at them both. Jay shook his head and walked over to her to sit down, "they're flashbacks, they take time to go away abs..." he smiled sadly at her.

Abbie smiled back and grabbed jays knee, "I'm fine jay really, you should get some rest" she smiled at him. Jay shook his head, "no, I'm staying by your side tonight. I've dealt with it myself, the first nights always the worst, so I'm staying here" he grabbed her hand. Abbie smiled caring my at him and nodded, Tyler sighed in relief at the thought of his sister being okay. They watched films and ate snacks for the rest of the night, it got to 11pm and they headed off to bed. Jay took the spare room and the siblings went to their own.

It was roughly 1am and jay woke up to the sound of quiet screams, he jumped out of bed and ran over to abbies room. He opened the door and walked in, she was still asleep so he carefully walked over to her and knelt down, he placed a hand on her arm to try and wake her up. She threw her arms around but jay dodged the punches, she didn't wake up the first time so he carefully grabbed her arms and restrained them so she wouldn't hurt herself. She woke up in a panic but relaxed when she felt jays arms around her, "It's okay" he said as she caught her breath back. She calmed down and rolled back over on her back, jay smiled at her and he got up to let her sleep but she stopped him before he could leave. "Stay here" she said tiredly while moving the covers from the other side of the bed. Jay smiled and nodded, he closed the door and walked around to the other side of the bed.

He got under the covers as Abbie rolled onto her side, he stayed awake for a while and watched her sleep in case she woke up again. He dozed off to sleep but at around 4am she woke up again while crying, "hey hey, I got you" jay brought her into a hug. She let out a few cries as she embraced jays hug. She grabbed his hand and moved in closer to him, she laid back down but this time her back was pushed up to jays chest for protection. He smiled at her and laid back down with his arm rested over her as she kept ahold of him.
