I tap my fingers impatiently on the table at one of my clubs expecting a call from my tech guy, I've waited almost three days without any sign of my sweet gatita (kitten), that's enough to make any man insane imagine three days without the person you love and truly care for not knowing if there okay.

I'm looking around the club smelling the stench
Of marijana (weed) and alcohol mixed with sweaty bodies, i scrunch my face in disgust and gulp down my third glass of whiskey feeling a slight burn in the back of my throat but it quickly fades away within seconds.

I stare at my phone seeing the screen light up I immediately grab it and see my tech guy calling me "Señor zuniga hablando (mr.Zuniga speaking)"

"Mr. Zuniga I checked again and tried tracking her phone again" he says fear lacing his words "ok well what did you find" I say with an irritated tone.

"Well I notice she has a new phone now so she's getting everyone's text and calls" after I hear that I immediately hang up and text my little gatita.

I kept sending texts to my gatita and she doesn't answer, I feel slightly aggravated and mad at her for not answering me, and I know she's receiving my texts because it's saying the messages got delivered , I decided to text her once more.

I wait a few seconds and all of a sudden the "delivered" changed to "read at 9:30 pm"
Suddenly I feel my heart start beating faster.

"What do you mean she read your texts I thought you said she left her phone here" My mom says while in the kitchen cooking dinner, apparently the chiefs didn't make the food the right way so she took over

"She did mama but she got a new phone" I say looking at her from the kitchen table

"Well you better not say anything dumb to her boy" she scolds me while walking towards me and hits me in the head with the rag she had in hand

"Don't you think I forgot what you did to her" she says crossing her arms

"mama I said I didn't mean too it just all happened" I say rubbing my temple

"Still that gives you no right to do what you did" she says unfolding her arms and rolling her eyes

"I know mama and I understand I messed up, but I just want Vanessa to come back" i look up at her and see her looking at me with pity in her eyes

"Look mijo, if you do end up finding her don't expect her to come crawling to you....she's gonna be mad and not wanna be with you" she says taking a seat next to me
