~Elijahs POV~

I stare at the black rose ring on my finger as I look out my glass window, looking at the view of Italy from my office "Sarò con te presto gattina, lo prometto (I'll be soon with you kitten, i promise)"

I grab my phone and dial my dad

"Elijah?" My dad says a bit surprised

"Why didn't you tell me Alejandro cheated on Vanessa" I say raising my voice a bit

"How did you find out" he says

I scoff "did you really think I wouldn't find out"

"Look Elijah, we know where she is so there's nothing to worry about" he says

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT" I say yelling into the phone

"DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME BOY" my dad says anger lacing Each word

I roll my eyes and continue talking "where is she"

"I'm not telling you Elijah who knows what you might do" he says a little calmer

"I-" i say but get cut off

"If it makes you feel any better she's going to the ball" he says and a small smile appears on my lips

"Then expect to see me there" I say and hang up my phone sitting down on my leather chair

*flash back continues*

~3rd person POV~

Alejandro and Vanessa have gotten pretty close after Alejandro have given Vanessa the ring, always hanging out with each other, sneaking out and doing fun things, and all this is fine but not to Elijah

Elijah hasn't been himself after the little incident, always quite and ignoring Alejandro but not in front of Vanessas, starting to be cold with everybody, and Alejandro obviously enjoying this "new" Elijah .

Elijah had been trying to tell Vanessa about the ring but two things are stoping him from doing so,
1.he doesn't want to hurt anybody's feelings, he was a nice guy, always looking out for other's rather than himself
And two what if Vanessa won't like that Elijah was the one who made it and not Alejandro...would she be disappointed

Would she not care that Alejandro stole the ring and gave it to her...

~Elijahs POV~

I sit in the grass from the garden, staring at the black rose in my hand "Elijah?" I hear Vanessas voice of in the distance

I quickly stand up from the grass and face her "yes?" I say softly

"What are you doing out here so late" she says walking closer hugging her small frame

"Oh....um just thinking" I say looking at her, the moon light hitting her ring and face, I slightly smile as I know she hasn't token it off

"About?" She says taking out a sweater and handing it to me

"Just someone" I say grabbing the sweater and putting it on her

She smiles and opens her right arm so I can go in, a quick smile spreads across my face as I go inside the sweater with her
