Byleth is back in the training grounds with the other trainees and his twin sister. The training session was getting more intense, as the Holy War is drawing near than the Demon King anticipated. It was obvious that the Supreme Deity was getting much more impatient to destroy the opposite clan. As forces of the demons are steadily dwindling in the form of casualties, the trainees are to be put out in war within another week. Which is why the King ordered the sessions to be much more grueling to make them stronger by the time they come to serve.

It pushed them over the edge, but somehow the Eisner siblings are the only ones that endured the longest. Many would think this is rather expected, since they are the children of Jeralt who was notorious in his days as the right-hand soldier of the Demon King. Though oddly, Byleth noticed that he was the one many had their eyes on. Maybe it was the reports that were given to the King, or the fact they sensed the difference of power within him compared to Bella. He wasn't sure, but he didn't want to let it bother him.

Right now, the session ended and so the trainees stood around panting heavily from. Some even laid on the ground on their backs, in dire need of rest and looked like they just died. Byleth and Bella though looked like they hardly broke out a sweat. Bella looked over to her brother, seeing him tugging off his top which revealed his muscular torso while using his free hand to run his fingers through his mint hair.

Right away, Bella saw the gazes of the Omegas instantly moved over to Byleth when he did that. She almost smirked in amusement, seeing the looks within their eyes as she leans in a little to him.

"You are a horrible tease, brother. What would your mate think if he hears about this?" Bella asked with a smirk. Byleth simply looked at her with an impassive face.

"It's not intentional, you know. Not my fault the Omegas here are disappointed that I mated Zeldris instead." Byleth said, while placing his top over his left shoulder.

"Well can you blame them? You are the only Alpha around and they hoped to be the lucky Omega who caught your attention, only instead you mated the royal Omega Zeldris. A rather low blow for them after many futile attempts." Bella tells him, as she sheathed her sword with its scabbard. This made him scoff, as he looks to the side.

"Not any of them are my fated mate."

"Which reminds me, any luck with Lord Meliodas?" Bella asked out of curiosity. Byleth then paused for a moment, his dark eyes then finding the ground interesting.

This made his sister frown, "He still won't accept you?"

"Well actually... I haven't seen him since yesterday." Byleth admitted. He rubbed the back of his head, as he added, "Scratch that, I haven't seen him for a couple of days. I think he went out on a mission."

"Oh. Does Lord Zeldris know when he'll return?"

"I haven't asked." Byleth shakes his head. Suddenly, he looks to the side as the trainees instantly gave bows to a certain demon who is approaching them. "Speak of the devil..." he muttered, letting out a slight smile at the sight of his Omega.

"My love." Zeldris greeted him with a soft smirk once he is in front of him, tugging him down to give him a kiss which Byleth gladly returns. Bella can see that he did that on purpose to rub in the fact the Alpha is his mate, giggling silently to herself when she saw the immense jealousy the Omegas were omitting from their gaze alone.

Fearsome one that demands authority he may be, but he is one sly yet sneaky devil.

"Darkest star." Byleth said, making the youngest heir of the Demon King raise an eyebrow at that. This made the mint-haired demon chuckle at that, but quickly ceased it when he is reminded of the early wonder, "By the way, is your brother out on a mission? I've been to talk to him about something but I haven't seen him for a while."
